I fully understand why there are rules like that but it does make it difficult for (genuine) new people like me! Ho hum...
Yes there is an echo. I also read the stuff on RPF for non-Aliens bits.
However, for knowledge of all things Alien, there are none better than the awesome folks you find here!!
As far as waiting for your PX access, spend the time browsing the archives and stuff here.
All the questions you could possibly have are (almost certainly) answered therein. Including the 8-hole vs 10-hole barrel vent debate.
I have a 10-hole, myself.
Yeah thanks man, I actually spent ages browsing the archives LONG before joining (mostly looking for a definitive answer to the Olive Drab vs Bess brown debate)... I was all like "I want to go "screen accurate" as much as I can, but then decided to go with the Olive paint because in my opinion it looks cooler! I digress...
I don't make a habit of signing up to forums I don't intend visiting regularly, it's tricky enough keeping track of one place let alone dozens, but I've been made nice and welcome here, lots and LOTS of friendly feedback, nice to see plenty of UK folks and everyone has been super helpful so I plan on sticking around. Plus if I disappear after my PR is complete, who's gonna egg me on to get the rest of the uniform? Certainly NOT my girlfriend. She already thinks my rifle kit only cost me £50 off a guy on ebay! Hahahahaha! I cant be doing with the whole
"£320!!!! And your still have to build it yourself? That's a month's mortgage, or a week's holiday... blah blah blah" issues that come with costuming. A mate of mine started out with an SDS Storm Trooper Costume, cost him a small fortune, then he started work on a Rocketeer, then a "Panther" batman before persuading me to join him in doing a Ghostbuster's costume... when I started he said "Ahhh... wont be long til you are telling Mrs Cheex that everything you bought was 'twenty quid off ebay' and he's right! Hahahahaha!
Anyway, I probably should have posted all that over in the "introduce yourself thread" but thanks for the warm welcome, and I feel at home already!
