Yes, the batteries are housed there.


This one (the prototype) was resin. The rep in the video, Dan Cope (a contract painter for HCG - he did the great paint job on their new 1:1 Alien bust) say's the Alien figure you see in that frame is a proto designed by a sculptor in Thailand.
It is to be distributed by Nightmare Collectibles. Hope that helps!

Called them up today and they had no new information on a release date other than 4th Q 2009.

i wouldnt expect it before oct 16th .thats the final scheduled payment of my 6 pay .

I remember seeing a release date of the middle of November on Westfield Comics I think. I tried looking for the PR on their site again and couldn't find it.

I was kinda expecting that to be the case actually. I just didn't want to be a pessimist and depress everybody.

Just to point out here!

The american sites are releasing these in fourth quarter, So i doubt we get this the same time. It's more than likely that they will give them out to retailers over in the UK next year. Aslong as you've bought one or pre-ordered one.

I'm sure you'll not be forgotten.

The first HCG prop I pre-ordered from Propstore (Fifth Element gun) was shipped to Propstore as soon as they landed in America. In fact Propstore had them before they reached HCG's headquarters, putting us Brits in the enviable position of getting ours first!

I thought I missed out on the HCG Exclusive Olive Drab and placed a Wait List order for one. Apparently I got lucky!

Whew! Just finished reading carefully through all 10 pages of posts! Thanks to everyone for all the great info on this and all related topics.

I've always dreamed of having a 1:1 PR of my own and immediately pulled the trigger when these went up for preorder. Could've had the OD.. the low edition size was tempting, but as this will be my very first PR replica, I went for SA BB all the way.

With this puppy and a set of MAA's FG Hicks armour on the way, I'm starting plans to attend next year's D-Con (which will also be my first con). Really looking forward to meeting some of you there!

If my wallet survives, then the rest of me outta make out okay. I should at least be fairly well acclimated... the heat and humidity here (Japan) in summer is pretty brutal, so Atlanta can't be too much worse... at least I hope not!
