The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Found this thread just now and hope it's not too late to point out that ANY TIME, ANY WHERE should read ANYTIME, ANYWHERE.

I've had patches printed up by Stadri (Thanks Dom for the reference) and Patches4Less- I haven't received the ones most recently ordered yet, but the Stadri ones were pretty nice. Those guys will also clean up and modify your artwork for you, keep changing it until you are satisfied.
You can print up 100 patches in up to about 8-9 colors for about $200- thats's a pretty good price, considering most people pay $5.99 or more PER PATCH from the online dealers, and these are custom. Lots of people would want them just for their collections. It would bring your price down if you could get a bunch more people to buy them- rather than having to only have 12 made (the minimum) and pay $12 a piece

They are printed like the screen used patches? Do you have a link to them? I still want to do this, but need to know I am not going on strike. At $200 for patches it's doable

I think if you are going to call it the USS Tahoma you should put Mt.Rainier in the logo! :)

Second one was just for fun. I always liked the native art look of the Seahawks logo.

I would be interested in one of these if you do get the run going. I'm actually in Northern California, but I did live in Seattle for a while in the mid-90's.

Once I know I'm not going on strike I will move forward on these. It might take a little time, but I do want to do them. Thanks everyone for their input on coming up with a design.

I would avoid the seahawk on your patch, we tried to avoid anything close to the University of Maryland. The NFL is aggressively protective of their stuff.

If you want to go that route I would draw your own.

Bah.

If you're mass marketing them and selling them on eBay, you've got a problem... but if you change the the eagle a bit, flip it around, distort it a bit and make a run of 50 patches, who's gonna know?

Look familiar?

Wait here... I have an idea...

You have a point, Sarge... and that Beaver is certainly different enough.

The Seahawk in the above example, though, isn't. I don't even watch much in the way of the NFL and I immediately knew what that was before reading any of the text. "Oh hey... That's from the Seahawks..."

And that's not good, especially when dealing with the NFL... They like going after anything they can find.

Now if it was flipped and changed like that thar Beaver then that's another story... I mean even the background is Seahawks blue.

Question to the powers that be... The company that Dom recommend has patches in a lot of sizes. The patch is 2 3/4, but they don't have that size. Would 2 1/2 be OK?

Doc,

Probably won't work with the rocker patch.

Plus with the patch as-is, it is a tight fit on the lastest pocket on MAA bdus.
(bigger than previous gens)

I suggest asking the UK guys if you can gang up on their orders.

I can help making vector art of the mountain. after I get a few more things off my list.

We kept ours full size, and went without the rocker on the BDU pocket

I will see about the regular size too. I do not use the rocker, but some might want to.
I'm not planing on including the rocker.
