The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I get the feeling we should have had this discussion BEFORE the incident... Goood to see you got it back. Hope the "person" gets whats coming to them.

Thanks so much everyone for the kind feedback and support. I want to go through and respond to each post individually as they mean so much at a time like this.

As for steps of "prevention": there are a few additional things that I've learned from this experience. Have ALL items with serial numbers recorded. Not just the high end items. EVERYTHING. Even down to cheapo things like a cordless mouse. Those items are bound to turn up quicker than others. And when they do, collect on the rest.

And keep all duffle bags, suite cases, and back packs hidden. They serve as the perfect shopping cart for jerks like the one I'm dealing with.

I'm seriously considering installing something like this deep inside the shrouds. Pretty sure if the demand is great enough, the electronics would become a lot less expensive. It would be worth it, though.
