The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I'm trying to find some large plastic tubing to make a stasis tube for a facehugger prop. Can anyone suggest any decent suppliers? I've tried looking in all the usual places like B&Q etc but can't find anything with a big enough diameter.

Thanks in advance

Dan

By plastic tubing, do you mean clear plastic/plexiglas type stuff?

What diameter were you looking for?

A 2metre long piece of cast acrylic clear tube of 270mm diameter will cost about £450, so it's not cheap.

I'm basically looking for the same sort of thing that drainpipes are made out of so I can use it to make a base and lid for a clear tube that I've already got. I'm just having trouble finding a decent sized piece of tube

could you take a flat piece and bend it? if it's not clear you could use ABS or something like that and rivet it in the back

Do it 250mm too

Or could you cut something like this up to make top and bottom parts?

The best place I found was McMaster Carr. This is where I plan to get mine when the time comes.

For 24" L x 12" od x 1/8" wall thickness = $180.57 (not including shipping)
