The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

ADC is looking for a few good Marines to take part in a film shoot at the Movieum in Waterloo, London on Monday 20th April.

He's looking for Marines in full armour to provide background for scenes involving Trevor. It would be a very early start, meeting at 7am under the London Eye but we should be finished by 10am-ish - he has limited time in the Movieum so it all has to be done really quickly and efficiently.

ADC has said that people can crash at his place on the night of the 19th if it will make the early start easier.

Anyway, add your name if you can make it:

Friendlyskies (Marine)
Abe T. Alien (Xeno) - Crashing at ADCs
Alan T. Alien (Xeno) - Crashing at ADCs

What a busy time, I going to the NEC one on the 18-19th of April.

I guess I could drive to ADC place on Sunday night, do the drop and drive back home.

Than it just one train trip to Waterloo and back to ADC place.

Darren is that what you are doing?

Steve, we're all staying at my gaff Sunday night, then hitting the train (20 mins) to the Movieum on Monday morning and then
heading back around 11am, so a simple trip. Darren won't be coming on the train because he will be picking up Weirzbowski.

It would be good to have you aboard, brother!

Hmm, due to engineering works on the Sunday, It'll be a train then a bus to Orpington.

I take it they have a taxi rank at Orpington station, in case I can't be bothered to walk to your gaff?

Yes they do, but there are two exits so ask someone at the station which side the taxi rank is on.
My place is 5 mins by car.

My colleague at works says I should just drive to your place. I hadn't thought of doing that.  :D

I take it there is parking nearby?

Yes, I don't think it's far for you.
Parking is a bit tricky where I live, but we should be able to find somewhere.
Bell me when you get to mine (PM sent).

Bloody hell I find were you live on Google earth ADC. The south east of London and very close to Brand hatch, Lucky you.

I just the best way from the NEC to your is the M40, around the M25 anticlockwise to A224 and the last bit to your place. Would you say this is the best route?

Cheers, Steve

To be honest mate I'm not sure, not having a motor or bike at the moment :(
But ask Sidewinder or Pug since they're driving back from there, too.

If we can get one more marine I'll be as happy as a pig wit' two peeders.

Cheers,
AC/DC

I'm also giving Glenn, Gemma and Rick a ride for Collectormania, so I'll need to work out where they want to be dropped. I might just have to go via my place in NW London.

Don't go out of your way. Drop me at the nearest station and I'll find my way home :D

Is Orpington the nearest one? I can get home from there in around 50 mins.

Gemma, do you fancy being an Alien for that shoot?

I have two Alien suits, so if anyone fancies being an Alien let me know.
But don't be upset if I say, "No, you're too big!"

They're quite tight suits as you know.

As I don't have proper Marine kit yet, I could be persuaded.

Dunno how small you have to be to fit, but I'm 5' 11" and of slim-medium build, but with looooooooong limbs, surprisingly wide shoulders and size 11 shoes.

Am I.... "too big" (fnar fnar), then?

Done!!

I'll have to meet you at the London Eye though, as I have domestic duties between the Drop and this shoot.

Ze In-Laws are visiting on the Sunday and I'm missing most of it already due to being up in Brum.

Closer/quicker going anti-clockwise I reckon.

TheAA.com says that's the way to go too.
