Theres no way i can afford to pay for a hotel for this one. So unless people dont mind getting cosy and cramming into a couple of rooms to make it cheaper, i'll probably only be going up for the day

As mentioned, I'm happy to split the cost of a twin room or summat.
Several are up in Coleshill, which is where I thought everyone already was.

I was looking at The James Guesthouse (£25 a night) or the Blythewood (£32.5 a night).

LMK asap though, as I'd like to be booked by 17:00 on Thursday.

Speaking for myself, as im coming by train and don't want the hassle of cabs or a lift to a hotel, i'll be booking a hotel room which will be as close to the NEC as i can get ,more likey i'll go for Premier inn, which is a stone throw from the Halls, its not cheaper then the other Hotels, but its close..

I'm probably going to book a room at the Premier Inn which is a 5 min walk from the show (assuming it's in the same halls as before) and we have stayed at this one before. I will be taking my son with me though. If anyone wants to share then let me know but bear in mind that my nipper will also be sharing the room so no drunken shamblings at f*'k me O'clock in the morning. The room, according to the website is £69 for the night so basically £35 each. I'll only be booking for the Saturday night though and will drive up Sat morning. Rich if you want a lift then let me know but bear in mind I won't be returning the same day.

Lastly, and I don't want anyone to take this the wrong way but I'll only share the room with someone I've shared with previously since my son will also be there. No offence

Looks like the Premier inn Birmingham Nec Airport is a winner. The UKCM have stayed here before and it been ok. Very close to the event and easy to get to.

Saturday night looks like the night. That the 28th.

So I guest drive up Saturday morning, I do not know about parking at the event so it may pay to go the hotel and book in and spend the Saturday morning in normal clothes looking around and having a good meal and doing the drop all day Sunday and driving back late on that day.

That is unless we gate crash Darrens plans and go see Thomas the Tank engine!!

Premier Inn looks a bit expensive for me this time (quoted £85 per night for a single), so I'll be billeting in a B&B up in Coleshill. If anyone wants a share, lemme know by 4pm today, please.

I think I will try and ring the hotel tomorrow and sort some thing out.

I just got an email back from Bryan at MCM and yes we have official entry for this one. We'll be using a changing area oppiste the UKG which apparently is a large "void" area behind the public areas. Same as before at this show I guess. Anyone who arrives at the show on their own (although I think meeting up before would be best) should see a member of staff and tell them who they are their with and they will be shown to the area mentioned.
