The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hello everyone!!! I go by nimmot on the ezboards and tommin everywhere else. Apparently someone already got the 'tommin' id in this universe. I have a beautiful wife of almost ten years now and a silly little daughter that will soon be 16 months old. They are my world aside from props.

Anyhow, I've been a fan of ALIENS since the opening day in the theater. I've always loved most of James Cameron's work hence my fascination with TERMINATOR props.

I too am currently putting the finishing touches on a TERMINATOR endo arm that is shaping up to be very sweet. I've started a new project that involves a custom prop design. When I get it finished, I will show it off here. I think you guys might like it. It screams an ALIEN theme. :D

Glad to see everyone here!!! If I haven't met ya already, I hope to do so soon. Tony, many thanks for keeping the door open for us. Harry, glad to see you here as well. It's an honor for me to be here.

Many Cheers,

Tom

OK - Ill try and get this right this time.

I'm a 38 year-old married woman with two small children, Chris 7 and Lucy 5 and one older 'child' of 37 - yep I'm the older woman in our relationship!

I'm small, blonde and I still fit into my RAF Sgt's Uniform (if I breathe in), I also have a tiny ego and I'm incredibly modest, quiet and reserved - almost Saint-like.

I've loved the Alien series since I saw it as my first 'X' film back in 1979 at age 14 ( yes I sneaked in ).

This was reinforced by Aliens in 1986 which became my all-time favourite film.

I only started making props with my husband last year - the first being a PR and since then we have amassed a huge arsenal and sold it once, then amassed another one and are in the process of selling that.

I teach part-time at the College of FE, do some web-development work and I own and run a Barber Shop. Yes, that's right a Barber Shop - not a Hairdresser.

My husband is also a College Lecturer and works for a large IT company. But enough about him - lets talk about meeeee!

We all live on the beautiful, unspoilt, gorgeous, sandy-beached, holiday Palm-tree paradise Island of Guernsey in the balmy Bay of Biscay, next to sub-Tropical northern France (20K away) We're also next to Merrie Old England (120K away).

I speak, English, some French, some German, some Italian, American, Canadian, Australian and Bollocks occasionally.

Hi, My name is Steve Radler and I am an Aliens Addict. I have been sober for..........ummm.........well..........you see.....I can't...........aww hell. I am an Aliens addict and happy!

Been in love with the Aliens saga (for the record I do now acknowledge the existence of Alien3 or Ressurection) since I saw Aliens on the big screen in 1986.

More than anything its been the Colonial Marines: thier costumes and gear that have really drove me insane over the years.

I have few pieces in my collection.....and I am always building more :)

Howdy! I'm Lonnie, and I've mostly lurked at the other Aliens board for the past year. I've been a member over at the RPF for a couple of years now. I'm more of a collector than a builder (two left thumbs), but I've got several kits that I need to start working on, including one of Jose's PR kits. I hope you guys don't mind a lot of newbie questions when the time comes!

Knowing myself, I won't be satisfied until I have a full airsoft PR, but that will be down the road. I hope to eventually go the whole Colonial Marine route, with armor, flame thrower, etc. :)

My names Phil and Im from the UK but Im currently working and living in sunny Brisbane, where it actually is sunny unlike Devon

Like Matt, I like big guns and Aliens is one of my all time favourite movies. Im also into live roleplay using lasertag systems and have played several based in the aliens universe as well as others like starwars, starship troopers etc. My job is designing new electronics and guns for a company in Brisbane called Battle Field Sports ( www.battlefieldsports.com ). You'll recognize the inspiration for a couple Im sure

It where my love of props, especially 'working' ones comes from. I like to build all my own props but occassionally I'll buy one. Currently I have a self made Pulse Rifle, Proton Pack, 6 EL lightsabres, and way too many costumes to mention including full SG-1 mission outfits.

Like so many people here I also have a project list as long as my arm (in very small size 4 print).

Im pretty good with electronics as well as microcontrollers and I love metal working machines.
The new workshop here is slowly coming together and the lathe, mill, sheet folder etc should all be arriving sometime next week. After that, well some of those projects might get a bit more work done on them :)

Phil

SSgt Burton on the ready line!

Hi everyone, my name is Kevin and I'm from Hamilton Ontario Canada. I've been posting on the AliensArchive board for almost a year now and have made some good friends over there.

My hobbies include costume making, prop building and collecting. I have several costumes that I made myself which can be seen on the "Costumes Militia" page of my site, including my home made Colonial Marine armour, a Jedi Knight outfit, and various military fatigues.
Besides the Alien films my favourites include Star Wars, Star Trek, Red Dawn, Mad Max, almost all Arnold films, and Monty Python films.

Glad to have made it over here- it was a little touch and go at first.;)

Cheers everyone!:D

Let me introduce myself,........I.......
Am the Ultimate Badass. State of the Badass art. You do not want to F%$# with me.-

Sorry. Got a little carried away.

My name is Chris (Some also know me as Reaper, but you can call whatever you want. Don't ask why I went with VT 1010. Long and complicated story...). I live here in Kentucky, in the U.S. I hope to start a company making video games someday. And if I'm really lucky, get the license to make an Aliens game, one based on the movie and not AvP. One made by fans.;) If I'm lucky.....;) ;)

Ever since I saw Aliens when I was five, I became obsessed with the movie. It was and still is my favorite movie. Over time, I slowly lost interest in the movie. It wasn't until I saw a Halo fan film called Haliens (I highly recommend watching it especially to you fellow Halo fans), that made me remember and realize how great Aliens was. I got back into Aliens and started collecting prop replicas. A few months later Willie Goldman sent me an e-mail with a web address. I checked it out. I had found Aliens Archive.:D :D

I have been a member of Aliens Archive for a few months now. I just created a global account so I could post here at The Aliens Legacy. I collect Aliens action figures, prop replicas, video games, and many other things. Replica wise I only have a Smartgun kit which is a long way from being finished, a shotgun shell box that hasn't been converted to an M-40 grenade box, and an airsoft SA-80 (it was in the background of the armory in the Sulaco). I also have a few pulse rifle parts.;) I hope to get more replicas, eventually when the funds will allow. The old board was great! I'm sure that the new board will be just as good as the old one.;)

I'm Rook. Younger than some, not as old as Harry. ;)

Saw Aliens in the theater the year it was released. Twice.
One of the resident Airsoft geeks.

Own more prop replica kits than I own completed prop replicas, but my marine armor and Pulse rifle are at least "done."

And I've cobbled togeather a few prop tutorials on my web site. Feel free to look 'em over if you have nothing better to do with your life. :D

Dustin Guest. I'm from Homer Glenn, Illinois. I've been costuming for 2 months shy of a year now and I've got a good relationship with the Midwest Garrison of the 501st Legion. I marched with FNG, Goat, SWFreak, and the rest of my squad of ultimate bad-asses at Dragoncon. That's about it.

I'm SWFreak, from the Chicago area.

I've been around the prop boards for almost 5 years now. It all started with wanting to build a lightsaber.

Just recently I've become interested in the aliens stuff. I wish I got involved in it a long time ago.

I've met a few of you through the Dragon*Con parade. FNG & Burton, WE ROCKED!

Thats about it,
Chris

David from up in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

I've been around for a while but am only now starting to put more effort in to putting together some USMC gear.

I'm under the impression I'll be able to beat some armor out of metal - when I get some time. We'll see.

The new place looks good - not sure about the color set though.

Hello all. Mike from London here. Aliens fan certainly, but also a fan of SF in general. I love film props but I don't have any real ones, except some patches (which are really 'costume'). My claim to fame is probably that I've met TV's Harry Harrisâ„¢.

I used to make replica props from fibreglass and resin, but nowadays I mostly use the computer:

(Okay, you can't play with a 2D image, but at least they don't make the house smell of polyester!)

Hope the new board is a big success. I'll be the one over in the corner.
Mike

Hi all my name is Jason I've been postiong on the Aliens Archive board for somewhere between 3 and 4 years. Tony/Harry I just wanted to say I love the new site but at the sametime will miss the old. I've collected a few USCM props but at the top would be a GWII airsoft PR. I also collect Batman props as my name might have gave that away. I'm looking forward to speaking to all the new members aswell as the old members. tks Jason

BAH! I hate ALIENS! I just come in here to make trouble and call Mr. Harris names! I'm the rootin'est, tootin'est bad-willed varmint this side of the Ceti sector!

And I've been here for about 2 years or more. :)

Gee, kinda sounds like the way I originaly started posting on here. IN FLAMES!!!

Ah yes, good times, good times.

Seriously. I have been collecting ALIENS items and props for about 10-12 years. Hooked on the movie ever since it hit screens. Saw it back in the day with my parents...I remember the day well. A graphic designer from Missouri, been bitten by the accuracy bug and am feverishly trying to get all the parts to make a motion tracker. I collect other props as well, Bladerunner, Hellraiser, Predator, Terminator just to name a few. I know a few things about ALIENS props and try to chime in when I can. Always happy to answer questions if asked.

Oh yeah, one more thing, HARRY HARRIS LIKES CHEESE!!
