Currently, I'm a student at Del Mar College in FAA approved aviation maintenance classes. In about a year and a half (if all goes well), I'll be fixing aircraft. Once I get my A&P (Airframe and Powerplant) certification, I intend on getting a pilot's license. Being a mechanic will take a
TON off maintenance costs.
I'm also working at Academy Sports & Outdoors - Footwear department... weekends, only, now.
What's cool about doing what I'm in school for, is I'll be qualified to make major and minor repairs and alterations. I'll be trained in fabricating parts, structures... the whole nine yards. I'll even be qualified to build my own kitplane. I'm gonna buy this one.
