The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I was in Oregon the past two days for a convention,

met up with some buddies.... went to a surplus store and

found some danish sleeping mats.

i think that the mats were used as padding inside the armor

posted some picts.

Not sure where all the padding goes + what the sizes are.

I wasn't planning on distributing these.

I figured there's a marine in Portland or Seattle that could
do it since I'm in LA. They were going for 25 bucks a piece,

and they said that there was a lot of them. Nice Pads!

I didn't even notice them, until I saw a lady walking around with
one under her arm.

I'm wondering if they used a hot wire to split the pad in half.

Cooter if it's possible and you were going for yourself I'd really appreciate a mat as well.

If you're organizing a group buy, I'm interested.

FIDO,

I think that is Steve Radler's TE armor.

T.English uses what is available to him when making repo sets.

That pict isn't accurate foam. Looks like yoga mat.

We need some SU-used picts.

not screen accurate but a close second. that is the stuff I padded all my old armour with.

You have to trim it in half (thickness) to make it work. Very slow process with an X-acto knife.

But it looks great once it is done.

Sorry Harry..that doesn't really help me...

However, you can send me the armor for closer inspection

Two questions...
1. What is between the padding and the armor? It looks a bit like some kind of pastry...haha

And 2...why did you use a US dime?? J/K

The brown thing that looks like a pastry (Well, to you anyway! ;)) is glue that's gone brown with age. It's just a thin layer.

I used a dime because I haven't had time to clean up much after D*Con and it was on the windowsill with a load of other US coinage, I'm not taking sides - honest! :)

Harry,

How thick is it?

Dimension of the grid?

And is the pattern on the other side?

I think they slit the foam in half.. like stephen210 said.

Also is the foam only on the shoulder and the rear of the helmet?

Hey Guys
If you want to do a group buy let me know. The place that sells em is like 10 minutes from where I live. I just called and they said they have about 24 of em left. So once enough interest is gathered, I'll run on down there and buy em up. I don't have the funds to front this so we'll have to figure out a cost for each, including shipping, send payment, and viola mats around....
