The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hi Dom, yes I sent you a pm a few days ago explaing my situation and requested you count me out.

As I understood it, you needed to know by Monday just gone.
I haven't had web access for a few months, so I'm sorry I didn't see your notice sooner. In fact, Harry drew my attention to it and offered to pay for me but I didn't want that so then I sent the pm.

Hope that clears it up.

Cheers,

Andrew

Unfortunately, we're only 12 signed up for dinner at HRC on Sunday. I've sent you all a refund if you're on this guest list and we'll go and eat a-la-carte.

Mike, you refund will process once your e-check clears.

After weeks of deliberation and weighing of priorities, I decided that I DO want to join you all for dinner at Max Lager's.

With your posts about people dropping out, and the prices rising, I was unsure of what the current payment is. I will paypal Me +1 to you as soon as I know what to pay.

Funny you should come here and post that as I was coming here to say that Chris' friend Scott Skidmore has paid his deposit just now. So, with you we would be 54.

Send $22 to cplbeaudoin hotmail.com Projected balance to pay is $26... if more people join, it will keep going down.

That's Spectre + Girl Spectre. I should have made that a little clearer.

Nope. Doesn't ring a bell.

Spectre, $44. Price keeps going down.

JUST SO I'M CLEAR TO ALL, THIS IS ROUGHLY HALF OF YOUR MEAL PRICE! The rest is payable in cash on the day of the event. Thanks.

Sent.

I'm not sure I've ever spent 40 dollars on a meal. Maybe I should go to nicer places.

(gulp) that's news to me. If it was previously mentioned I missed it. But thanks for the warning, so I can be sure to have it in pocket!

I tells ya, these things are "damned if you do..." situations. The Florida 501st used to have dinners during MegaCon and it always seemed like ya ended up paying more for the same amount of food than if we'd just shown up and ordered normally. I think it's good that the restaurant knows you're coming so they can prepare, but these prearranged deals seem to punish those who plan ahead.

Oh, well, the meal will be exhorbitantly overpriced but the comradeship will be priceless. The company of all of you will ease the pain of the reaping, I'm sure.

Thank you for all the legwork, Dom!

Yes, I know that it's freakin' expensive... I feel the same way. But as I said before, original estimates had us at 63 people, now we're 55, so we're paying the share of a few missing people. We're also paying for the priviledge of a private room.

Some of you have paid larger sums then others and I will bring the balance list with me to make sure all is square... current balance for most to pay is $25. Barring anyone else joining in, this will be it.

Bring ziplock bags, folks. All our various webgear pouches could facilitate stretching that meal into the next day. ;)
