The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Ok Marines, I spoke to the corporate reservation lady at HRC and here's how it is:

If we want to be seated together, we'll need to leave a 50% deposit now. Although we're not obliged to choose what we're eating now, we still have to choose from what menu we will be selecting from. I propose we choose the R.E.M. menu for ease of budget, so this will be $8 per dinner engagement.

They need one transaction for the deposit and one final payment on the day of the event. I'm willing to do both for us all.

The alternative is that we arrive there, wait a ridiculous amount of time to be seated (we'll be 25+) and we may not all be necessarily seated together.

So, if you want to make this happen, send me $8 by Paypal (please add 3% + $0.40 per transaction) to cplbeaudoin at hotmail.com or else by money order (PM me for address).

So once again...

Quote:
R.E.M
2008

Hard Rock Cafe Burger or Cheeseburger
A hamburger or cheeseburger of fresh certified Angus beef lightly seasoned and cooked to order. Served with French Fries, lettuce, tomato, onion & pickle.

Grilled Chicken Sandwich
Grilled chicken breast, topped with mayo, tomato, lettuce and onion. Served with French fries.

Veggie Burger
A “burger” patty made of vegetables, cheese, and spices served on a freshly toasted bun with tomato, onion, lettuce and lemon-mayonnaise. Served with French fries.

Caesar Salad
A full helping of romaine lettuce with croutons, shaved Parmesan cheese and Caesar dressing.

Pulled-Pork Sandwich
Select pork, hickory-smoked then hand pulled, so it’s tender and juicy. “An old Southern delicacy” (formerly the Pig Sandwich) with our famous vinegar-based bar-b-que sauce. Served with French fries.

Dessert:
Chocolate Chip Cookie
Inclusive of Soft Drinks, Coffee & Tea

$16.00 Per Person
Inclusive of Tax & Gratuity

This menu is for a NON-PRIVATE ROOM.

The Hard Rock Café has a “First Come, First Serve” policy for restaurant guests, therefore the following guidelines have been set up to accommodate groups of 20 or more who are interested in dining with us. Your Reservation is not confirmed until a signed contract and 50% deposit has been complete! The Menus listed are for a NON-PRIVATE ROOM and we seat your group in the same area in the main café. We do not put tables together.

 A 50% deposit and a copy of the signed Group Agreement are required to confirm your group reservation

 Groups must be in complete attendance before being seated. A 15-minute grace period will be honored for all group reservations. If the group is not in complete attendance within this period, we will position the group for next available seating once the entire group is present. If the group is running late, a courtesy call to the “MOD” is greatly appreciated.

 Group menus include tax and service charge unless noted. School groups must reside in Georgia and provide approved documentation to receive Tax Exemption.

 All Tax-Exempt groups must pay in the form of a check or credit card. The name on the payment must reflect the school name or organization. Tax Exemption forms must be received prior to date of reservation.

 The final number of guests is due to the Sales Department 72 hours prior to your reservation. Final payment will be based on the number of guests recorded by the Sales Department 72 hours in advance of your reservation.

 Final payment is due either prior to the reservation (paid in full in advance) or at the conclusion of the reservation. Credit card numbers are not kept on file.

 One form of payment for the entire group is requested.

 All prices are subject to change without notice.

By that calculation I get $8.53 to send you from my Canuck account... Do I need to add more for US$ or is that already factored?

I'll happily put in for what I owe, just wanna make sure it's done properly in one transaction

All of this is an American Pesos, please. ... and Sid, I'll need for you pay this deposit in due time; if you want to pay a pending sale transaction on top of the deposit, that's obviously fine.

Spat, Max Lagers hasn't been incredibly good at calling me back about the event, although I've just left another message. Maybe we can get Derek to go down there and bust some heads.

Thanks!

I may have missed this somewhere in the thread but what time will the dinner be on the Saturday night. I'm thinking of heading over to a party that night and am unsure about timings.

Cheers

Thanks pal, but a thought just occured to me...

We may have to do this for Max Lagers as well, so for anyone coming to Max Lagers, please hold before sending any money and await instructions. This will avoid you having to make multiple transactions and save you additional fees.

So dinner at the HRC is from the R.E.M. menu?

I hope it's not "The End of the World as we know it" and we won't have to "Stand" in line very long. :D

Ok, finally got the price for Max Lager's private room with buffet. Total with taxes, gratuities and service charges will be $2520 (this means $41 per person) and they require a $504 security deposit. For the sake of simplicity, if everybody pays me $21 now, you'll only need to give me a $20 bill on the day of. The only hiccup will occur is if any of the 62 people who signed on don't come, in this case, we'll have to pay the difference. If you wish to pay your total instead, please do so.

I'm waiting for them to send me a copy of the buffet menu, I will post it once received.

Please send your deposits by Paypal & please don't forget to add 3% + $0.40 on your deposits. Please include your screen name with your payment... thanks!

Really dumb question, but if it's a buffet, don't you get your own food?

It may be a buffet and what they sent is the whole buffet selections, we would then need to narrow it down to the quanity that is specified after the item.

Like where it says (pick two).

I have worked in the catering side of couple large hotels and if we where asked for menu we would send the whole menu and then the group would pick.

Spoke to them last night... We have to make our selections now and they will prepare the required amount for us. We serve ourselves in our private room.

Jut to repeat what's needed:

$8 per HRC event & $21 for Max Lagers. Add 3% + $.40 for Paypal.

Deposits haven't really been coming in quick guys, so we need to make this happen now please.

Is it possible to just have a total amount that we have to send in? My math skills were forgotten the day I graduated High School. I even chose my College major based on which one didn't have a Math requirement (Criminal Justice).

3%? Really?

And I'm not trying to be silly, but can't you just post the total needed, with a breakdown of what it was ($25 = $21 + 3% + .40), or something. No one is going to question what you ask for.

I know from reading the same questions from people about the HRC payment that I'm not the only one who is Math Illiterate.
