The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

God damnit. Who wants to form a strategic bomber crew, cold war B52 style, now?

No, we get flightsuits with MA1/MA2 jackets, cold weather high altitude flying gear (optional), and a Darth Vader voice changer for those James Earl Jones cameo moments.

Fal- Methinks an Alpha Industries flight jacket will make its way into this impression. 8)

LKSIV- nothing you have would be accepted as "canon". Just as nothing in my impression would be accepted as "canon".

Since this is all expanded universe you can do whatever you like. :)

No... But I did find this cool alternative Gunship from Alfred Wong:

Well I haven't come up with a final designation yet... But whatever it is- the codename will be "The Arrow"!!! :D

Aside from offering my appreciation for a cool project in progress I just wanted to mention my fanboy squee when I saw the artwork on the helmet.

I have both the Wildcards and Angry Angel Uniforms and I uploaded the awesomest scene from S:AaB a while back to my youtube page.

By the past an artist in France who paint WWII like pin'up on back of leather jacket could do the same on Nylon M1A or CWU one, just a question of ink but which one for Nylon?

Must be said, I do like the idea of a full flight crew. Maybe it's the Top Gun fan in me that's loving it? I dunno.

Kev - got any idea which one you'll pip for? N-2B, CWU-45P? If you want to go for the classic fighter/bomber look, a nylon B15D would look lovely :D

Whichever I can afford.

Problably the CWU style though. I ain't wearing a parka in Hotlanta.

And sage green... the classic look.

Sid- thanks for the compliment man!

LKSIV- don't get me started on the Arrow... It was by far the greatest military/technological achievment of Canada in the 20th Century... and this country's government's biggest blunder (God how I hate Diefenbaker). And the made for TV movie you mention was called "The Arrow" produced by the CBC in 1996. It's out on dvd and is well worth watching for any air force buffs. 8)

Here's the attack ship that was created by an AL member a few years back. VTOL, gunship or A-10 Warthog inspired mod of the USCM design philosophy that brought us the dropship.

I believe they were going to use it in a fanfilm that never happened.

Image

There was also a short animation showing the VTOL landing
that I can upload if anyone is interested.

AAAAAAAEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

With that I would be cool! 8)

To be honest I think I'm going to have to seriously take a look at my bank account before I sink anymore cash into this project. A new jacket and patches to go with it...

And a Recondo impression...

Might have to have a garage sale soon.

Russ- that thing ROCKS! And yes please on the vidfeed. :D

OKAY first attempt, feel confuse, forget to put off the Flight Officer rank slide, to closed the chinstrap, clips the side strap on the life jacket to the survival vest and to remember that RAF Coverall's collar is very wide open...
Patches are just fix with ducktapes and Dom's VP need to be paint, I KNOW but as the USCM Armor wait to get the whole kit to blow away my bank account in Paints cans

Yeah, I have that same patch on the back of that jacket. I kinda figures other people would have the same idea, it's all good. :)
