The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I too am always happy to see your updated photos. You have a talent shown in your work. If you don't think so then why is everyone not making one of these?

Very nice indeed. You seem a very talented guy, would love to be able to do that with paper let alone metal.

I'll be slowing down a bit. I've cheated a bit, and ordered a set of shrouds. I'm still working on a few things, but right now I am getting a few trek things done to fund my GL M870. :D

sadly rob i don't have one lying around (as much as i wish i did). i dont think its too important to build a remmington replica and slide it in the cage, just build the mechanism inside the cage to cycle the shells. Ive seen other do it this way and it looks just as good :)

Thats my favorite Fox Mulder line from X-files. I also liked his partners reply. "good, because I put it in that drawer with all those other videos that aren't yours".

thanks guys :D ,kevin i love the stuff you produce your uniforms are truly outstanding  your attention to detail is second to none, you were the first guy to welcome me to the forum ,and i hope you see me as an asset rather than a liability :? ,so i thank you for droppin by and your interest i just threw it all on the scales for ya ,with the thompson ,mag, spas and vent the whole thing comes to 6 pounds so far, i have no idea how much a hero should weigh , but with a remington to sling together and a steel shroud the weight will jump a lot i think, hi patrick good to hear from you again ,dont seem right on here without you postin away and blowin my windows out with your stuff, hurry up and get the new house sorted dude ,i will be chasing you for help with my GL soon,i think i scored some brownie points with your wife, with my moving in gift so tell her you need to start building again to help me out  might be worth a try  ,thank you all as always , Rob

just a quick ps with the cost of the TM mag i rather blew the budget on this build so the mag will become available sooner or later ,so far adding the mag the whole build has set me back about £45 of wich £23 is the mag :? i must mention Mark. H a good friend who donated a lot of the steel i have used for no reason other than simply to see if i could do it :? ,all the best , Rob

Looks great with the magazine.

I've hefted the SD pulse rifle before, and it's not heavy, it's incredibly heavy.

:)

I'm interested to see what your final weight is for this build.

That thing looks great. I wish I could build that. I can put things together, but don't have the talent you show. That's why my PR will be a G&P when (if) I get the kit.

Thanks.. But you should know all I had to do was solder a couple wires and burnt my finger :D

I still think your PR will be more valuable since it was scratch made and not a kit. Not that I am putting those who use kits down. I hope to be joining the kit PR club at the end of the month. Your PR like the MP 5 PR post are one of props. Like Spats work (had he not made molds so that he can share his work with us).

Your scratch build is very impressive. I've always loved seeing something go from nothing to the desired shape. :D
