The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hi all

Can any of you folks possibly identify this Resin Pulse Rifle please?

Didn't think it looked like one of Spats, but I may be wrong.

It looks just like an Icons PR (which is ironic as I brought that up in the "test" thread).

Golden Armour used to sell PRs that were recasts of the Icons piece. Maybe it's one of his?

The shrouds are from the G&P airsoft conversion kit as well as the stock. Front end is a little darkly lit but I would guess this is all the airsfot version.

If it's not the G&P kit then it looks just like it anyway (shrouds and stock at least)

Cheers

Darren

Can't really tell from the pic but it looks like an Icons PR.

The stand looks very much like something springer69 put together, he'd have to chip in and confirm.

Springer69 also used to have an icons PR that had some upgrading done to it.

Not your old one is it Chris??

Cheers,

Andy

To clarify, no it's supposedly made from a resin kit. :?

Only info I have -
'made from solid resin it has no moving parts and cannot be made to fire anything .... It was professionally built and painted from a kit'

No the shenanagen comment was certainly not aimed at you punkmarine.

If this is one of Chris's pics- again it drips of irony as just the other day he started watermarking posted pics to prevent just this sort of stuff from happening! :o

You lot calling me out? Who's calling me out here :P

Shenanigans? Well I outta.....

I can confirm that's a converted Icons with a barrel vent and triangle from Phil Steinschneider - painted in BB and metalcote colours. The strap was well just a green strap that I made up for it. Must have sold that thing maybe 3 years ago for significantly more than what it went for on ebid.

Was never really happy with the way it turned out but there you go.
Do you know the buyer then? I certainly wouldn't have called it professionally built  Ol pigs-tit fingers here isn't quite at that level of competence I'm afraid.

And no, the piccy isn't mine but I saw it and thought that's my old shooter' , where's that piccy come from.

So it was yours Chris. 8)

Well I bought it on eBid from someone up in Scotland.
It's for someone else actually, but if I've got a bargain I might just have to keep it for myself.

What do you think it's worth then Chris?

P.S. I was ready to remove the pic if it was yours.

Just to add- none of my comments were directed at Chris either. :)

I thought it was a case of "the seller not using his own pictures"- an occurrence we've seen recently.

Yep I remember it going upto to Scotland along with this

Image

Although I recall the statue got damaged as the local posties were probably playing footie with the box I sent it in.

What can I say about it? Oh the counter number was 93 but that can soon be changed- I was rushing like mad to get it ready for the Honiton do and half way through it had a really bad reaction with some of the paint I was putting on it , so had to strip it all back.

If I remember right the bottom of the spas cage and bottom of the magazine became a little pitted from getting the paint back off to redo it but nothing mental. it did look good though and it's painted in pukka BB.

I certainly would have it back here for that price that you got it for. It's an original Icons - not a casting off of one and Phil's PR parts are lovely to boot and really finish it off rather than the solid vent that was on it originally.

No idea where the professional bit came from - certainly didnt sell it as being that. Yeah it's alright, not the best and far from the worst - maybe me just being picky

No worries.

Was just curious where the piccy came from because as soon as I saw the one you posted Rick I thought ' eh thats my old one - and you were asking what it was etc '

Just didn't want to let the cat out of the bag straight away :P . I would have got away with it if that damn pesky Spencer chap from Honiton hadn't come snooping around here.

Scooby doo ending ......

8) Looks like I got a real bargain then. 8)

Still not sure of it's real value though. :?

But one thing's for sure, Ii's mine now I tell you, it's all mine.

PS Was about to buy one of Spats, then saw this ready painted and thought it looked pretty good from the photo. So I took the chance and jumped in and bought it. :D
Don't tell Spat though.
