The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

No way. Why should the boards be segragated because some of us like to put our own spins on the movie we love so much?

I personally love seeing it all, but I for one sometimes get a lil bored of seeing all "screen accurate" armor. As EU stuff gives everything a creative twist or flavor. It's not like any of us EU guys are going out and creating things that rock the foundations of the films.

I see no problem, and people who think themselves above someone else because they have screen accurate whatevers are just kidding themselves and take thier hobby too seriously.

Don't kid your selves ladies and gents, while we may have really cool toys: at the end of the day they are still toys.

I think forum segretation is a bit too far.
Thread icons are about the furthest I'd go...

I definitely think we should have a separate Buy/Sell/Trade section.

We've been trying to get a "For Sale" section for years, but the mods will have none of that!

And as much as I would love to have that section added, I have to agree with the Mod's argument against it.

How about a simple, happy medium?

The Ready Line is for "Props, costumes and everything about the Aliens films."

So maybe add in a costume and prop specific area. The Ready Line is for film and Aliens discussions, and then a new "Armory" section for the Costume and Prop discussions?

I once tried to download Spat's ego on bittorrent.

I had to stop though, because just after the second Terabyte,
my pc started to melt.

Between my ego and the Brazilian Fart Porn, there's not a lot of room left for anything on the Internet.

OH MY GOD THREAD RE-RAIL, HOOOLD OOONN EVERYONE!!!

8)

Personally, I think the vote count says it all. Screen Accuracy has its place - like for when you want to get exactly the right lens for your helmet cam, or exactly the right switchgear for your smartgun's front grip - but EU adds variety, artistic license, and just plain fun to the mix. I really enjoy seeing some of the interesting things people on this board come up with, like Dom's SADAR launcher and Kevin's PIG, which came from the tech manual but are never seen or even mentioned in the movie.

Take my smartgun for example. Screen Accurate front struts, screen accurate front grip switches, screen accurate 8mm ammo drum, even screen accurate battery, right down to the *mono* plugs. Call me biased but I think it's pretty durn S.A. But, do the smartguns in the movie have 3-digit ammo counters on their ammo drum covers? No. Does the tech manual say anything about an ammo counter? No, although in the drawings there's a little window on the drum that COULD be for one. Did I do it anyway 'cause I think it looks badass? Hell yeah.

It's all about having fun enjoying our hobby! Separate icons is a kinda cool idea.

If there are those who don't want to be bogged down in reading about EU, costuming, etc. Then perhaps Topic Icons would be an easy fix.

I'm just interested in having a good time.

btw, I've got a Colonial Marine EU Sniper Rifle being made for me!!

naahh, nahhhh, nah!! A superb craftsman has been working on it for the better part of a year. And I don't care how long it takes!! :D :D

It's all good! I'm having fun thinking about it!!

Heck, what would I choose to carry in the parade?!

And.... I still have a surprise for the parade... 8)
