The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Thought I would post some pics of the master being built after molds. It's coming together slowly. It took quite a hit in the rubber. Between casting and getting kits shipped it's taken me longer to get it together.

Just posted some more pics of the master. I put a coat of medium blue on it this evening. I'll hit the lower part of it tomorrow.

Outstanding. So how do we display it? Or is it up to us to come up with a stand to mount it on.

I'm going to use 2 acrylic rods. One just forward of the ventral rail gun and the other under the engine.

So how long would you say a standard assembly would take? It was a bit tough to tell in the pictures the true amount of pieces etc that would need to be assembled.

I haven't actually counted the pieces...I think 60 to 65. If your an experienced modeler, should take a week or two.

I agree - my kit arrived and they're the cleanest castings I think I've ever seen. Should be a fun build.

I second that about the pictures....I am on the fence as well...

Looks absolutely amazing.

How much would shipping to the U.K. be?

That does look fantastic, truly impressed. So this thing is exactly 3 foot long? I'd also be interested in shipping costs to the UK if you don't mind. I will probably still wait to see how the other Sulaco comes out and price etc but I have to say this will take some beating I think.

Cheers

Darren
