The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hi all

Just thought some of you might be interested in this.

I went to see Terry English the other week to get some mods made to my armour. As it was, the armour was sitting quite high on me and made it difficult to sit down or even look down as it would dig into my throat.

To get around this Terry took out the 2 small "floating" pieces between the front and back armour and replaced the left side with one longer piece and the right side he added a second piece to make it longer overall.

This means the armour now sits lower on me and is actually quite a lot more comfortable to wear, although it was quite comfortable to start with, just not when I sat down.

Whilst doing this, it came back to Terry that apparently this was what he had done to the original Weirzbowski armour as well as adding some gussets at the sides in order to fit Trevor Steadman.

Here are some pics of the pieces.

This is the right hand shoulder.

This is the left shoulder from underneath

This is both shoulders from inside. Also good for seeing where all the rivets go.

Cheers

Yeah, Terry should take a look at a set of Sparmor. My chest and back have had an adjustable strap connecting them since I started.

But I guess I'm just better at making comfortable armor than he is.

:)

I had to modify my Sparmour a bit in opposite to Darren's (take the shoulders in more, rather than extend them), so it could fit better on me. :P

But then I'm not what you'd call a normal shape. :D

Darren, Does this mean you can breathe out now without popping the catches at the side? :p :D
