The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Had a Honda CM 125 for a while - I even came over from France to Ireland on it. I like bikes, but I'm not very good with them, so I prefer less powerful ones.

At the moment I don't have one any more, because I don't need it and can't realy afford it.

Later, I'll get another 125 - and I'll paint it OD green! :p

I had the 125 version. Great fun to chuck around. That was until I was coming up to a roundabout one wet and windy October evening, came out from the shadow of a truck and got caught by the wind. Rather than going round the roundabout, I proceeded to go over it. Broke my right hand in two places and the bike's frame was knakered making it an insurance write-off.

Was glad I was wearing the proper gear, though.

1985 Honda VF500 Interceptor. Runs okay, but needs a few parts this year... new fuel lines, chain, sprockets... brake pads...

It does have the fairing on it, the pic above is from a couple years ago. Still has the mis-matched bodywork. :)

I ride Italian scooters. I have a 59 VNB 'poor man's GS' Mod bike, a 64 Riverside Li125, a 1978 P125x, and a 1978 P200. I'm looking for a 70s Honda CB350 to turn into a cafe racer. I ride year round and the P200 is a race bike.

I've wanted one of those, but for the negative opinions of their reliability. Swapping in the BMW parts though I can see changing that issue.

How are you going to repaint it? WWII coloring or something more modern?

At the moment the paint will be going to the Ordinance Tan to resemble a late war paint over possibly with a brown and green field camo, also adding the Divisional markings for the 2nd SS Das Reich.

Main use besides turning head when I run to the store quick will be in WW2 reenactments. Thinking about an MG mount for the sidecar haven't decides yet.

Not much difference, it's all really depends on the year they where produced. From what I have found out the USSR (for thoose of us that remember it) sold the toolings to the chinese mid to late 50's.

From what research I did you want the bikes from the 50's - 70's.
Newer begins to have more problems.

With these CJ's and with the Urals it really depends who you get them from, they are assembled now out of fairly old stock, the trick is finding the good guys. hehe

I am getting mine out of Long River Motorworks (LRM) changjiang750.com
there are others out there who import them some better some worse. I have heard nothing but good about these guys speaking to persons that have purchased for them and even hearing from folks who bought from other sources that have had problems and LRM goes out of their way to help them get up and running.

Grief, the second you sell it you will regret it. I know I sold 2 of my bikes the RC30 in 98 because I was broke and the RC51 to buy something else. I tracked them both down about 2 years ago and bought them back......than added 3 more
