ok, i just got an e-mail in response to an ad, and the seller is offering me the tricorder for $25, plus shipping. If anyone here is looking to get rid of theirs for the same or less, i'd rather take it from one of you guys than soemone i don't know at all.

...unless you want the one I just cleaned a bunch of leaked battery corrosion out of and still doesn't work.

I only cleaned out the battery compartment, though. Possibly if you took it apart there might be something you could do with the guts.
