The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Much like what Dom posted on pg2, I thought I would share this email from Chris about the passing of a friend of mine in 2005:

Quote:
My two cents, in regard to the dead; if one believes that the resurrection will come to pass then it won't be a big surprise to see them in the future. For others it will be a happy shock. Main thing/comfort for the living who believe, is that they don't grieve like those who don't. In other words, believers and those who don't, still grieve for the dead, but believers who do believe/hope in the resurrection have hope of seeing their friends and loved ones again... so all is not lost, permanently. I don't know if you get what I'm saying but that's the skinny, and remember, I'd never steer you wrong. ;^) Just passing on what I "know."
-Chris Chulamanis

Although I have never been a religious person, I do have my own beliefs about the afterlife. I will see you again one day Amigo. And I'll have a good feeling about that drop.

Hello marines...

Just taking a small break from my self-imposed hiatus to say that I have exactly one spot left on Chris' memorial plaque. I'd like to fill it so I can have it printed and laminated to send to Joy.

It's first come first served.

End results should look like mine:

Have I missed out on contributing to everything? I was away when most of this was going on, came home and then had a personal family issue to deal with and so haven't been terribly active anywhere.

OK guys, they're ready to go. We have 21 names on list who wanted one and I ordered 30 for good measure. I figure $10 USD S&H incl with all proceeds going to Chris' memorial fund to be reasonable.

If anyone wants to know where this money is going to, it has paid for $530 worth of flowers, it will go towards the purchase of a USCM flag to be given to Joy in Atlanta as well as two memorial plaques which many of you have sent signatures for, one for Joy and one for display at our fan table in Atlanta. All other funds will be sent to Joy to help defray any cost that she has incurred as a result of this tragedy.

Please send by Paypal to cplbeaudoin(at)hotmail.com I don't guarantee speedy delivery given the amount of these I will have to mail out.

That armband is very nicely done. I would have little use for one though - as I don't troop - but here's my bit...

I've just sent $30 - please 'donate' one of them to a worthy member free of charge and put the rest of it towards the fund.

:)

The prints with the signatures came in today, unfortunately, it's cropped a little tight. I will have to re-make them.

I'd like to give one to one of you who signed the memorial, I'm thinking of a number from 1-24... first one who's signed it and PMs me the right answer gets it.
