The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Start practising a few lines, 'We've got movement from the front AND behind" or "12 meters, 9 meters, 6 meters, looking I reading it right, man!", etc, etc.
You will have a blast!

Yeah I'd like to know where you picked it up as well. :)

I think it might have been the first Aliens prop I ever owned as well. I got my PR in the beginning of '04- I think the MT was late '03 (or was it late '04? Damn Alzheimer's! ).

Actually, I posted interest in one on the RPF forums and was sent an email from the seller. Just blind luck really.

Beware that in some of the MR MT's, the electronics won't work untill you jimmy the battery compartment a little.

Mine had this problem, as well as a few other people here. Just don't want you to have a heart attack like I did upon inserting the batteries and the thing just sits there.

It's an easy fix. I think there's two screws that hold down the battery compartment lid that need to be tightened or loosened.

Amen to that. When I first booted mine the small red LED didn't come to life. I unscrewed it, jimmies with it, and it worked like a charm. Sometimes it still gets buggy, but a good thwack sorts it out, reminds me of Drake fixing his helmet camera every time.
