The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

The Montreal-based crew of the UAS Macdonald came down upon the Scotiabank Cinema yesterday to view AVP:R. We had a great time... and patrons certainly were happy to see us.

First set of pics are available here.

Looks like you had lots of fun, Dom. I recognized Jen (Alien), Frank (one of the preds), Sebastien (Santa Pred), Ernest (Marine w/helmet & PR), his wife the synthetic in blue (sorry, can't recall her name), and the marine with the left shoulder armor in red (isn't she also a Star Wars bounty hunter costumer?). The rest are all new recruits to me. Kinda wished I was there. I just took a face hugger with me when I watched the movie. Had some fun with that. Seems like you had more fun. How were the movie patrons? Did they enjoy it? Did you at least get free tickets to the movie?

Mike

Gotta love it when the grunts, bugs and preds all get together.

I'd say it looks like fun was had by all :)
They got more than a movie.

that looks like fun! my dad is here and he said...*gulp*..."now they are geeks" i just told him that if they do another "Aliens" movie after i get my Spat armor, i probably would do that too!

P.S.- Dom, is there any way you can tell me how the one marine painted his Longshot? that was very cool...

Tell your dad we're not geeks... were nerds. Not the same thing.

We got freebie tix for the movie, which was a real perk... we also got hundreds of AVP Christmas ornaments and posters which Santa Pred was giving out... and saved some for us.

Go to our "Who's Who" of UACM marines to match faces and names.

The CS-6 (Nerf) and armour was on loan to the guy who wore it from Teckwolf who was wearing his Pred skin. You can inquire on his paint job via our Nerf thread at colonialmarines.ca
