The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I just saw it and thought it was good. Very good infact.

A lot better than AvP and this one I thought added a lot of A1, 2 and 3 as well as P1 and 2 in certain places. See if you can spot them ;)

The characters were a lot more developed, the usual teeny kind though. They threw in new aspects to the species we'd not seen before (some were a little crazy to be honest) but all in all if you like the Aliens movies and disliked AvP.......I'd stop by and see this one to get a boost :)

86 minutes seemed a little short, but the movie went by at a good pace, usual slow spots.......but not many HUGE plot holes.
Weird ending.......

....but after AvP it was an improvement and we did get to see a lot more of the Preds background. But I'm easy to please....you know that ;)

Worth $7 in my opinion :)

What did you all think?

vs...

Aliens vs Predator Requiem sucks. Period. (caution spoilers*)

What do I think?

I think I don't know what to do now.

I got some free movie passes as a Christmas gift- so I could go without paying... However if it's bad... and I mean reaaaaallllly bad... I'll feel like I wasted the tickets.

Go see it!

Old guy finally back on here to chime in, was deffinatly a LOT better than AvP I thought. Some of the new additions were a little out there but all in all believeable with some liberties taken And it does a lot of homage to the past movies.

Just saw this movie. I couldn't count how many times the first three Alien films were blatantly ripped-off.

I was expecting... at any minute... one of the characters to cry out in frustration "Game over, man! Game over!" So imagine how hysterically my brother and I laughed when one guy said "Get to the chopper!"

Every scene that wasn't shamelessly un-original/directly copied was so unbelievably predictable, I can't fathom why I stayed and watched the whole movie. This crap is EXACTLY why I say "No thanks" when anyone asks me "You wanna go see a movie?" In all honesty, I would've rather have seen "Sweeny Todd" or just stayed home and been forced to watch "Hairspray". And I hate musicals.

Would I pay to see it? Haha, that's funny. Would I recommend it? Maybe to an enemy. Should they have left well enough alone? Yeah. They never should've mixed the franchises. Bad film-maker, BAD!

- EDIT -
I WILL give it some credit. It was a LOT better than the first one. But the addition of the "F"-word doesn't make it all that better.

My only complaints:

The film dragged here and there.
The Aliens didn't seem to be treated with the same finese as some of the earlier films.
The look of the film was too dark at times.

Other than that, it was clearly the most serious Alien movie in 15 years. Awesome flick!
