Just been playing the first level of call of duty 4, very good game as it happens on the first level I noticed a few things i recognise from my fav movie

The team approaches a shut door and before opeing it one of them pulls a shotgun and says "ill keep this for close encounters", then the commander says "stay Frosty" and when it all goes wrong he says "Marines we are leaving".....anyone else notice any Alien esque references in games (Alien / Predator games of course not allowed)

starcraft one of the units says "in the pipe 5X5" and "were in for some chop" those were both said in the dropship by the pilot

I thought he said "Drake, we are leaving!!"

There's a ton of Aliens dialogue in Call of Duty 4... you'll also hear, "Check those corners..."

A dropship which also closely resembles the dropship we all know and love...

haha ive noticed all these references too. im waiting to hear more as i play through the game.

I noticed them aswell. I found it quite funny when one of the SAS pulls out the shotty and utters the close encounters line. Starcraft has ALOT of aliens references. Just continue to click on each individual class ie. marine, firebat, ghost etc. and alot of em will spout aliens lines. Each character has like.....10 lines of dialogue each.

in halo three one of the orbital drop scenes where the pelican falls away from the big cruiser it looks like the dropship scene.

LoL yeah, that's the terran dropship unit, and yeah, whoever said it looks a lot like a UD-4 Cheyenne is dead on.

The Ghost spouts Ripley's "Where ya want it" line, too. What else... if I recall correctly the Marines can be heard to say both halves of the "Bug hunt" line in two seperate lines. Anyone else remember any more?

The marine asks how he can "get out of this chickensh*t outfit" Also probably the fact that alot of the marines have graffitti all over their armor is a pretty obvious homage to Aliens.
