The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

So any idea how long it takes from your start point to Scotch Corner?

I honestly do not have the foggiest idea with this minibus.
Is it possible for you to do some sort of practice run so you can tell how long it will take to get from your place to Scotch Corner?

If its an acceptable time, we can txt you when we think we're that time or a little longer away from the pick up?

At a VERY rough guess however, I would estimate somewhere between 10 am and 12 noon. Dependant on when we leave the Glasgow Area.

I`ll see what I can do mate about a practice run,though I`ve yet to secure a lift,though won`t be a problem with family/friends.

Buggers just wouldn`t take me all the way to Leicester :( HAHAHA

You could get a text or summink from the minibus crew to say they're on their way, then go to the services and have a coffee or summink while you wait.

Well I`m the sort that prefers to be early rather than late anyway,so I`ll be there in ample time (I hope).

I really need to be at the NSC as early as possible on the Friday to get the technology for the AE working. I would feel much more comfortable getting there by 3pm. Last time I was in there till past 9:30pm sorting stuff out.

I can't really drive myself, because I'm giving Sixty a lift to the bus too. If both me and Sixty travel separately it wouldn't be fair on you other guys because of cost.

==== SITREP ====

An msm text from Scapey has informed me that he and Kat cannot secure a babysitter for the evening of Thursday 1st November.
Right now that means Kat has to stay at home if we go with an early pick up.

 Thats £480 / 6 = £80 a head

If we loose Bri its then:

 £480 / 5 = £96 a head

The alternative is to agree to pick up Kat and Scape at a time of their choosing. Our departure will most likely be the wrong side of 10am, making our arrival at the NSC well past 3pm. With that we loose G, Bri and Sixty who will all need to drive down by car to get there early enough for AE rehersals and the sorting of mass shit.

7 - 3 = 4

 £480 / 4 = £120

==== END SITREP ====

If you are only needing a vehicle for 7, how about a 7 seater VW Sharan from SIXT at the corporate rate of £206 for Friday to Monday?

Its the luggage unfortunately

Apart form the 7 or 8 of us (remembering Axeman) we will also be carrying 6 VERY big cases with cosutmes and lots of other "stuff" for the tables along with 7 or 8 smaller bags with food, clothes, toiletries etc.

Ok, G just fielded a genius idea

Kat and Scape... bring the sprogs.
Change your booking to a family room. Its the same price.

As we'd be leaving at the crack of dawn, the odd toilet stop would not be an issue. Besides, I'd bet on them sleeping most the way.

I'll even volunteer to babysit for a while (NOT ALL WEEKEND!) during Sat and Sun.

You can dress em up appropriately too :) I'm sure Morgan would love it!

Wow that`s a trek,I`m most thankful that you guys are kind enough to swing by & get me too :D

Certainly puts it all into perspective with those maps.

If all bares out well, all will be Good,if a late start, well so be it.

If it is an early start,i`ll be at Scotch Corner from 9am waiting,if it`s later, well I`ll probably be there around 10-11am.

I`d Rather be early at the pick up point to make things easier for you guys too :D

Sounds fair man

how are you for contributing half a fare? Take some pressure off of us all and you can't be accused of not paying your way?

Seeing as we're only taking you half way each way... half fare is fair...

frack me thats a tongue twister

We need to be there for 3pm to allow rehearsal time for the AE marines and setup time for pug et al.

So for an 7 hour journey, we need to leave at 8am to get there for 3pm..?

And that leaves zero time for loading, traffic, fuel stops ect.

Even 30 mins would take the stress of a little.

Hence the OMG o'clock start from your bit.
I have no problem with an 05:00 departure from Rosyth. Getting us to EK or a mutual rally point with Bri for about 06:00.
We can load the bulk of our shit on thursday night. Leaving just Bri, and the Fletcher's stuff and themselves to load.

If everyone is on time, we can leave EK or wherever we meet them in time to just miss the major flow of traffic and be clear of EK in time to ensure an early arrival, with delays factored in, at the NSC.

The rest of you can sleep the early rise off once we're on the M74 headed south.

I live very close the the city centre, so I could meet you guys there at 6am no problem. Then we can venture into EK and pick up Scapey and co. I won't have much luggage - just suitcase and slime!! So im kinda traveling light! Dave however is bringing the kitchen sink!!! lol!

Keep us posted guys!!

I think its better for you to either head through to Fraz' or Scapeys.
Especialy if Mr And Mrs Fletcher take up the suggestion of bringing the sprogs. That would be hell, dragging them through to Glasgow and all their Kit. And a double stop off around Glasgow and EK would negate any advantage arriving early presents because that would mean twice the distance to be covered in that area adding time needed.

For speed and less complexity I'm afraid I must insist on a single rally point for you "westerners" :)

Remember my offer to uplift you from Kincardine and take you directly to Loading Zone Fraz.
