Again, looking great. Liking the corridor piping trusses. What is the plan for all the electrical boxes/greeblies on the shelf? Did you need to cut the full size shelving pieces? Because they look like they were made for that space.
Thanks! I was fully prepared to make all of them but I found the electrical isle at Lowes provided me with most of the greebles I needed. They are all junction boxes and so forth with the interesting bits facing up. Probably exactly how they did it for the movie. I know they must of bought out all the used TV sets from England as you can see the backs of them all over the colony and Atmosphere processor.
I made the shelf and everything else to have zero impact on the house itself. Nothing it's attached with anything more than thumb tacks. Even the greebles will just sit on the shelf without being attached to it.
Everything will get a paint job and full weathering. Even the plastic wall panels... Then lots of pipes and finally a hive section with colony victim. Maybe an egg and hugger.
The lights of the colony corridor were a problem. I can't find any lights that have that hex shape like in the movie. So I am going to make them from scratch with thermal plastic to get the hex shape. The lighting and hex lights will be a separate project..
