Once your Service, Serial, or other Identification Number has been generated, it will be posted here (see last post).General Info -Service Numbers generated by this office are unique, and no two applicants will be issued the same number. If you have already obtained a Service Number via another office, please submit it here so that it may be added to the register (this avoids possible future duplication of Service and Serial Numbers). Also, if you receive a promotion [or demotion], at some future point, please advise here via a new post.
There is
no requirement to have a matching costume, or props for your Service Number to be issued, although if you do, we’d love to see it! Post in the
Introduce Yourself thread, or start a new thread – build threads especially welcome.
Previously, if you did not have a uniform, you were assigned a
G status. The
E status being granted only when you obtained a uniform. This is no longer the case, as we understand people may wish to have custom dog tags, VidCom cards, etc made, but perhaps have no further interest in any related costumes. If you have an existing
G status you may request to have this changed to an
E status at any time.
Under 16 years old Marine applicants will have the rank of Cadet, and
H status until their 16th birthday, at which time, they will automatically be updated to
E status.
You are welcome to request Service Numbers for others not on the AL forums, such as a child or significant other (above info still required, please).
You may also request extra, different types of Service/Serial Numbers, if you have, say, a Marine costume, and a Working Joe costume. Or you want your own WY Executive ID number.
Once you receive your Service Number, please take a moment to update your profile to include this. Go to your
User Control Panel >
