The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Thanks mate.
It was easy so I found. Split the pommel into equal squares, subdivide them into triangles, use a vertex select to pick the centre vertex of every pyramid and then a normal shift for each point by a fraction of a mm.
I'd not done it before but I found a YouTube video and it was done in about 4 key presses!

I'm printing one right now, diagonal on an Ender 3. Sliced in CURA. CCTREE PLA+ silver. used adhesion, supports, 20% infill. and .12mm quality.
Thanks very much for putting this up for free, I'll make sure to post my print on Thingiverse and here.

Thanks Seven. Look forward to seeing how it turns out, especially using the single model - I didn't think anyone would use that version but I find it useful to see the final product as an STL as well as all the parts.

Here we go, looks awesome
It's sitting next to a crappy cast of an original. I wont bombard with too many photos but its definitly gonna look sweet when sanded slightly and painted. I might cut it down to a stubby since the recent cons seem to leave the weapon policy up people sitting behind a folding table who don't seem to wanna be at a con, and have never been in the same room as a weapon.
might have to paint the stub blade orange, ha. This thing is incredible though, the skill to design these things is fifty-seven years beyond my ability. I really appreciate this, if anyone needs one I will print two or three and send one to you.

Very nice! That little hilt difference can probably be fixed with some simple grinding/filing/sanding eh?

I really like what you’ve done there with the green straps... how have you set it up?

Cheers. I just put the strap over the top of the sheaf, pushed it down on each side and marked it, then sewed on an excess piece underneath that's straight so it forms a kind of D shaped loop.

Is that to go around your boot or strap further up the leg?
