The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

It looks okay to me. They have "borrowed" quite a few things from Aliens and Predator, but it could be good. Then again it could be rubbish, but I'll be going to see it, and I'm sure I'll get the Special Edition on DVD

I gotta say, I'm skeptical. But since it's apparently rated R, all I gotta say is "Hope... springs..." :D

Previews always look great but I will reserve judgement until I see it.

Tom,
There is a hybrid in the film, sort of an alien with dreadlocks and a split jaw who can cloak naturally. It's an odd character that ignores the idea that the predators cloaking technology is just that, and not something they do biologically. At least that's how it was written.

That's what I'm talkin' about! :D That fact alone might save this film. But you know what they say about movie trailers... they usually show all the best parts of the film.

I am much more optimistic about this one than the last one (which isn't saying much). Looked like a lot more action and carnage than the first. Saw some cool special effects that were missing in the original, also some very cool shots. If we get lucky, they won't cheese up the story line as bad.

If they write so that the Predator's cloaking ability is anything other than technology-driven, that will seal this movies fate with me.

Well, either way I bet this film is going to be a love/hate film. They can make up for the first one by laying on the blood and violence heavy which may appeal to some of the fans but if the story is shite along with the acting, we could have another monumental failure on our hands again. Unfortunately, I doubt we'll get any more in depth with the film until it actually comes out so all I can say is......keep whatever you have two of crossed that this film won't blow.

Oh btw, I saw a mock-up of the new AVP: Requiem Figures done by NECA and i'm sure many of you remember seeing the picture of the alien fighting the predator and the alien had the steroid users neck......well, the neck is permanent.

Yeah I saw the figures too! The alien looks good as a figure, but why on earth did they keep the same look as from Aliens Ressurection to AVP ? It would have been nice to see the original alien design back! :D

But fook it... bring on AVP2 !! lol

Bri

Well don't forget, the bugs from A1 and 2 all go back to the Space Jockey DNA.

The others (AvP and AR) are all based off other DNA. That should be taken into consideration (used as an excuse) ;)

Well, one thing's for sure, lots of living things get killed.

I KNOW I SHALN'T BE AT THE PICTURES TO WATCH THESE DEVIL IMAGES AGAIN!

Only joking, looks fun. I don't really care about indulgence or nostalgia or even outright thievery, as long as it's done well.
