That was one of my next prop builds actually. Making a cartoon accurate pre meter and hashing the mt setup into it for a facsimile.

Same here. My next huge project is a 1:1 scale fully functional stargate (minus wormhole of course.) This one will be expensive, this year I am hoping to get at least a mock up section for proof of concept. My estimates are at a 22 foot diameter and the kicker will be in weather proofing and convention assembly and disassembly easiness...
