This was simply going to be part of my toolbox, but it's such a large piece, I figured it needed it's own thread.

You hear this mentioned by Apone, "explosive damages, probably...seismic survey charges..."

Overall, this was pretty easy. Just a section of PVC coupler with the "pointy" end being from a container of mole killer bait. The end cap is a resin copy of a part from an old action figure, decals are some of that DIY stuff from Testors, which I think worked pretty good. Normally I'd weather the hell out of something like this, but I figured this isn't something that's just rolling around gathering dirt.

Which begs the question...would you find something like this sitting nonchalantly in someone's tool box?

I can't imagine they'd be stored in a toolbox, maybe a hazardous locker like paint/chemicals are stored in garages?

I had to google "mole killer bait"; didn't know that was a thing (certainly not in NZ anyways).

It's shape does give the impression that it can be [lightly?] hammered into place though, so did you at any point think about changing the "Do Not Strike" to some wording to the opposite &/or adding a metal cap to the spike end?

The decals make it, and I agree re the clean look. Some form of carry box [for 4 or 6] would look killer ...
I think something like the transit case for German WW2 stick grenades is possibly a good reference / starting point -

The decals are the Testors brand water slide decal paper. They work really nicely if it's a dark decal on a light background as with this object. If it's the other way around, there can be trouble.

Septic, I put the "do not strike on top" becaue I didn't think anyone would want to take the chance of accidentally setting one of these off by hitting it. I thought it would be best to dig a hole and set it by hand. I don't think I'll be doing any sort of carrying case for this (other than my tool box). Since it never saw screen time, I just don't want to put that much emphasis on it.

Seismic survey charge sounds to me like something you'd be [possibly] using on rock, so hitting it with a mallet would be oookaaay - I like the idea that the charge isn't 'live' till you add in a blasting cap [like C4 blocks etc]. A wee decaled plastic bung/cap thingie would tell that story well, I think.
Extended Universe - bollocks to too much emphasis, you've already made a Lovely Thing, I reckon go hard out and make a case
