The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Well,
the last to show for the moment :)
We have a great friend in our group, he is black, so he is the best Apone i ever have seen.
And as a real Apone, u do not only need a cigarr, also u need a binocular.
So i start the search for original parts.
aigh, soon it was clear...that kind of money i will not spend for a prop.
The original bino from the german army u can only get here or europe...thats ok, i am HERE,
but it costs toooooo much.
so, searching for a alternativ stuff.
i found an kids toy bino from china what looks a little bit like the one out of the movie.
I decided to buy 2 of them, for my APONE and for myself.

I just did the paintjob, like the tracker again and created an beld-clip.

Here it is:

I am allways open for critics and flowers :)

Cheers and thanx for watching,
Pino

u can find infos about the original here in the Forum.

The Infrared Binoculars prop is a pair of real night vision goggles — the Fero D-51 (or Image-Intensifier Goggles BM 8208), which were used by the German Army.
not allowd to ship out because its still in use. costs about 2000€ here, used.
u can find the toy in Amazon.co.uk in that Moment.
search for
"DUSIEC 4x30mm Day Pop-up Night Vision Night Scope Binoculars Telescope,Best Gift for Child"
or at Google picture search
" obest night scope"

An ABSOLUTELY AMAZING layered weathering job on those Pino! Seriously. Amazing. 8)

Several years back I stumbled across one of those toys at a local thrift store here in the states, and snagged it up with the exact same intentions.

It's basically identical to yours except for a different finger-grip pattern, and they are labeled 'Spy' Night Scope (Copyright 2001 Wild Planet Toys, Inc.).

I have yet to re-paint them. Only in my dreams would they turn out as well as yours. When it comes to prop building, I'm more of an engineer/designer and less of a painter. :?

Once again -- excellent paintwork!
