The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

All,

Look at this still of Hudson shooting out the window of MEDLAB...

Is that a hole in his armour backplate?

I believe that was supposed to have come from the same acid that injured his arm. I'd have to check the tape, but I don't think the holes appeared before that scene where he gets splashed.

Yes those are indeed acid burn holes cut out of his armour for all scenes after the "EAT THIS!" acid splash that also burned his arm.

I got a great still of Hudson immediately before he shoots out the medlab window... It clearly shows all the acid damage to the armour... Will post later.,..

I would probably Imagine the Holes would have been Burnt with a blow torch, becouse Aluminium wouldn't hold at that sort of Heat and just Start to melt, thus Acid Holes.

Terry told me a while back that it was indeed done with a torch of some kind. I think he said oxyacetylene but I'm not sure.

I keep getting surprised as to how much there still is to see in the film... Especially now with how crisp and clean the film is on Blu Ray etc...

That's what I love about all this, there's tons of unknown stuff out there waiting to be discovered!
