The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I've just finished the 2 figures I blagged at Salute, nice figures but a bugger to paint as detail is so fine! I look forward to getting the whole range.

Amazing work . I'm a huge miniature wargamer and can't wait to get my hands on these figs . I just finished a bunch of scifi corridor terrain from spartan scenics to use with the avp game . Could you tell us what colors you used ? Great stuff

That camo looks spot on! Great job! Interesting that the Corpsman has no greaves.

I painted them in humbrols/revel enamels, the armour is all the standard colours, the camo's are sand matt 83 base highlighted with white added, then the pattern is dark earth matt29 and the 'grey' is dark earth darkened with black then lightened with white to give it a slightly brown grey, the little branches are the same colour but taken right out with more white, the pulsey/flamer etc are real matt 170, how I did the camo was just have my BDU's in front of me and painted what I saw, the boots/webbing etc are just various shades of green with dark earth mixed, the bases are metal commercial 'sci fi corridor' items with details added, the figures are plastic so very light and the metal bases give them some weight which I strongly recommend. I hope that helps

every figure has a slight difference, one for example has his knife strapped to his greaves, I guess the corpsman was done like that just to give him a bit of difference, they are also made from a kind of plastic with separate heads and arms so ideal for conversion work, I like them, they are uniform and fit to the film well but with that touch of individuality that the marines all have, a full unit will look superb.

Actually, that Corpsman "him"... is a "her." According to Prodos Games, anyway...

Your painting skills are very, very impressive, gunny63. I can't believe you did this with Humbrol/Revell colors. Fantastic job!

How large are those Marines in cm? Maybe something like a coin or a Humbrol paint next to the figures would be great to get a feeling for the size.

Unfortunately, as we have had to sign a company wide NDA and we are not allowed to show the game or miniatures publicly at this stage, we have had to cancel any AvP events for the time-being. If you were intended to visit a store to meet us, please phone the store to request what will actually be happening.

Wow. Those look fantastic! i'm really looking forward to getting my figures but I'm dreading painting them. I'm not that artistically talented and the two I got from the open day are still sitting blue on my shelf.

I very much enjoyed the game though and I can't wait to play it - http://www.avpgalaxy.net/website/articl ... y-preview/

I'm also really looking forward the deck building game - the Mrs is getting me a set for my birthday and forcing me to wait. grrrr

I think so. I believe that it was also stated that the initial production release would include the resin versions of the miniatures which were originally supposed to be Kickstarter exclusive. Sounds like a running change to standard plastic minis will be made at some point. This was apparently a requirement from Fox.

Hello,

We’re Awaken Realms, the miniature wargaming painting studio. We specialize in painting small figurines used for tabletop battle games, such as Warhammer. We’re also a great fans of Alien movies;)

And now, we had the opportunity to paint some Alien figures (those you may have seen up there:) !

We were thrilled when they were shipped to us and we were overjoyed when unboxing and later assembling the miniatures;) Not to mention the painting process.:)

Anyway, stop with words, there are the pictures. How do you like them? More will proceed!:)
