The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Were I unwed, I'd take her in a manl...

Nah, that takes the analogy too far.
Way too far.

I meant to ask Matsu and forgot.
Although - Dude, if you read this, did you ship my Galactica pistol yet?
If not, how much for a grip for Kaylee and will yours fit a Marui? ;)

What a beauty!! Nicccccce PR!!

And Kevin, Derek gave it to me too last year at Con when he discovered that I hadn't seen an episode of Firefly.

Another buddy had told me the same thing...

Went home, watched it, outfrickin' standing!! You will truly enjoy it bro! :D

Perhaps we will have to do the Clockwork Orange scene and hold Kevins eyes open so he will watch it...

Important: Try not to watch the movie Serenity before you watch all of Firefly, as questions posed in the series are answered (somewhat) in the movie.

No..

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES WATCH SERENITY BEFORE FIREFLY! You'll know why when you see Serenity AFTER the TV show, and thank me once you've picked your jaw up.

Reading this graphic novel helps bridge the gap between Firefly and Serenity too.

Speaking as someone who watched the movie before the series, ultimately, I'm glad I did.

But that photo above is a huge spoiler. HUGE.

Sitting on the sidelines, I have to say this. I too like the Sarge, have never seen the series Firefly. My wife & I watched the movie "Serenity" and found it lacked substance. ~ducks from hard core Firefly/Serenity groupies~ Maybe I should watch the series then watch the movie. That sounds like a post Dcon thing.

As most of you know, the Serenity special edition DVD is about to b released here in the states on the 21st. If we are to have any hope for a sequel to Serenity, the special edition needs to be as successful as the original DVD release has been.

Please check out the following link for more info:

Also check the below link for an interview with Joss in which he talks about the success of Serenity and the special edition DVD:

Universal store won't ship R1 DVDs out of the US, so have pre-ordered it from Amazon.com. 8)

The pic's not so much of a spoiler, is it? Since it's pretty much the same as the cover of the DVD and there have been statues of that event on sale for a while now.

When I saw Firefly on Fox, I couldn't get into it because I found it very anachronistic. Cowboys in space? WTF? But, I fell victim to the brain trust a FOX who thought it was a better idea to show the episodes out of sequence.

After it hit DVD, we got the set and I reversed my opinions of the series 100%.

The movie was okay, just made me sad again they killed the series. :)
