The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

They might even be a US version, given that the French ones were based off the M43s...

Can I just say that this thread is a huge help to me and I love it and thank everyone involved so far?

Scored these on the Bay the other day...

Unfortunately, they were advertised as a UK 10, but they're actually Euro 43, which is like a 9 or 9.5 UK. So they're a touch tight.

Shame really. I'll keep looking for another set in a larger size and punt these ones back on.

I wanted to revisit this topic as my focus is now to figure out Vasquez's boots. I see the awesome investigation above and figured I'd chip in my observation.

The boots that Chef posted definitely are not the same ones as the ones that were worn during the airduct scene...

I will post my investigation in my Vasquez tribute thread along with a lot of other stuff that should be heavily underway!

Could they have been another type of safety-boot that could hold up to the blank going off on it accidentally or were health and safety not that bothered back then?

Not that this image 'proves' anything, but just another shot from the promo shoot. Doesnt seem to have the special cuff, but I guess the pants could just be hanging over the 'extra buckles'

Guys - off topic but I've never noticed in this 'off duty' pose, Hicks has his leather Bronica pouch hanging off his belt loop...

At that range, with an experienced shooter, I doubt they'd have been so worried.
