The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Thanks cosmo. Try to snag one from the other side if you can too! I hope they have some sort of bracket on the HCG M56 that allows for connection to a stedicam arm. If not, I'll have to either fabricate my own or contact Matsuo to make one once he gets out of the rough spot he's in.

The M56, the Powerloader and Dog Tags are all coming soon....HCG is really stepping up their game in the Aliens department.

Can someone upload that pic to the forum, so those of us with restricted net access can view it and it's saved to the forum? :)

And here's another, from the HCG facebook page. Hopefully the person operating the booth will able to reveal some details to cosmo tomorrow, such as the weight, functionality and build materials of the m56 hehe

Go figure...

Now I'll have to buy one of those for display, which is what it looks to be for (I wonder if it's permanently mounted to the stand). Either way, there's no way I'm aborting my current project...haha.

I doubt that your M56 bproject would be comparable to a "mass product". Please continue.
Like the HCG PR I do hope that it will be a good product for its price.

I would LOVE that smartgun. It was easily the biggest surprise of SDCC for me personally. I did not see that coming, Buuuuut, if its gonna be $2k+, I'll just build one. And as you said, considering the Pulse MSRP, I don't see how it could be any less than $2k. Damn shame.

ok so i asked about the Tags and they have no idea on price and he said they should be laser engraved but was not sure. and it was hard to tell thru the case. next the PL is static does not move but it is not mounted to the base tho .... and on to the SG which will be mainly made out of resin with some parts being mad in metal, the wieght is to be 12-15lbs which is not to bad really, they dont know to much as i think it is a long way from being finished we asked if things will be movable and workable with the shoulder shrug. i does look lie a great weapon tho. and i cant wait for the Tracker tho that will and better be very nice and workable.....

They actually are - it's still early days as this was just the prototype. I for one am pretty excited any licensor has taken on this iconic prop.

I agree with Willie, this is insane of them to attempt, so I'm sure they're still figuring it out as they go.
