The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Started building a resin motion tracker a few years back with a few found real parts added to it.
Jobo mini lux
Hama self timer and box
casio sl calculator panel
Hama slide viewer
Vivitar 2500 flash
olympus t10 i think
Noble sling
switches and jacks and cable and speakers
Image
Image
Image
coat of brown bess matched auto paint and it came up ok.
Image
mounted a speaker in the front behind the mesh
Image
drilled out all the resin screws before painting and installed real ones after painting.
it looked the goods and was happy with it until i found a real Kango 426 drill here in Australia
Image
Pulling it apart and gutting it was a real greasy dirty job.
Image
Image
Being a drill from the mines it was flogged and covered in scratches. So i sand and filled and started painting it.
Image
installed another speaker in it behind the mesh.
Image
Got my hand on the
Matchbox transformer
Hamer remote release. that took 2 years to find.
pump widget cast in aluminum
Image
Image
Image
This is the stage its at now. Fully painted just needs to be assembled.

will post more pix when finished hope you like.

Not really. I used a vernier to scratch a line around it then cut it with a dremel. It cuts easy and then i sanded the cut smooth on a large sheet of sandpaper on a bench.

Sorry no I can't. I gave them a sample and they paint matched it and matted it down. There was no code for this colour.

Great tracker! You've even got the red wires in the bottom.

Can you tell me more about the wire that runs above the keypad and black box? It looks like it goes from being a rubber tube to being a thick piece of wire that then bends and connects to the Kango. What is it?

Hyperdyne's guide shows you how to make that (scroll down a bit): http://www.hyperdynelabs.com/mt/construct/s.htm

Trigger, where did you get that decal inside the tracker monitor? Also, where did you get those specific strap swivels?
