The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Finally it's all done.

Here's one that I put together (this is as it comes out of the moulds, with no paint or weathering).

And a couple of pics with the bulb on.
I couldn't even point it anywhere near the camera because it just washed out the entire photo.

And this is the light it throws out in a dark room, sorry for the blurry pic.

Overall I'm pretty pleased. A couple of little things I can do to make it better, but they'll come in time.

That's a pretty spot on colour match even without paint, right? Nice one!

Looking great and a very bright light.

What type of lamp/LED & battery are you using?

Cheers pug.

I did custom mix the resin pigment based on the RAL codes and picture references I could find. Took a while, but I think it's not too far off.

The light is a 450 Lumen LED spot light, running from an 11.1v LiPo battery. Anything rated up to 12v will also work though.
I went for LED so hopefully the current draw won't be as drastic as a filament type. Meaning your lamp will stay brighter for longer!

Suspect that I'll be after one when (if) you offer them :)

Cheers,

Thanks. Both LED and battery should do the trick and run for a long time.

Your BB lucks just a little bit darker than Humbrol #170, but that's maybe due to lightning etc.

Thanks for sharing.
