The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

so I got the idea for this thing like 18 years ago and I just got back into aliens last year and got a yet to be build Pulse Rifle kit from SPAT and happened to have a cheapo airasoft SPAS12 to tinker with while I waited for my PR kit.

First I had to cut all the plastic tabs off inside the cage where the receiver goes and the receiver being a tad to big had to have the top 1/4 inch removed, for cutting the holes in the cage I just followed steps posted here intended for "hero" M41 GL builds with the adition of the extra bit cut out for the cocking bolt... Thats right this baby would be Semi automatic... bow chica bow wow!

Once my pulse rifle kit showed up I found that the grenade launcher barrel end cap provided would be a perfect fit for my build and ordered another one from SPAT along with a 04 LED counter that I mounted in a thin 3" rectangle of plastic that hides the nasty gap where the top of the cage didnt fit right and match up, a rail is covering the rest of it hiding it nicely!

I had wanted the pump to work and the only thing holding it inplace are the screws that go thru the rail they can be removed and the pump moved. I also wanted to have a "Working" magazine tube that could have 1 shell or grenade prop loaded into it but that didnt pan out or should I say I just gave lol the mag tube is a section of metal pipe and I ended up capping the front and putting a large lead weight inside with a silver washer with a brass nail in the center glued on the end that sorta looks like it could be a grenade at a glance

I bombed the whole thing with krylon fusion (for plastic) black and then brush painted the cage gun metal before hitting the whole thing with dull cote.

So yeah thats that, the last pic was taken before I painted the cage gun metal and the side saddle isnt really mounted its just laying there looking pretty lol I also have a SPAS12 folding stock I can put on it so there are lots of diffrent options.

let me know your thoughts and opinions... sorry for the crappy pic's my only camera is my craptastical flip phone

Nice build! The top counter is a nice touch.

that is an incredibly awesome build. I wish I had thought of that before starting my M42 idea. but maybe I could probably bolt something like that to the bottom of it
