I guess I watch too much TV. Part of me always just assumed he would pull through. Thoughts are with his family.

Craig's brother Kyle is the main sculptor of the Queen, so that's gonna be delayed a while, as Randy wants him to continue to work on it, but here's news on what will be at the Toy Fair:

For me, it was all of the positive feedback and hopes of his family, but I hear ya. I really thought he'd make it too.

Has anyone heard if NECA has plans to make an 18 inch Colonial Marine? I was at the store the other day and saw an 18 inch Dutch from Predator and had not heard of them planning on doing that...I thought maybe I haven't been listening in on the right conversations and perhaps they ARE talking about a large format Marine.

Last I heard was some time ago where they "wouldn't rule out" a marine and implied they talked about it internally, but no figure was planned at that time. Word was the aliens warrior would be first to get the 1/4 scale treatment from the 'Aliens' line. Toy fair is almost upon us though! Should know the year's plan pretty soon.

I Tweeted them earlier tonight and got this answer:


Someone then asked Neca if they'd be doing a Xeno in 1/4 and they said yes, maybe by the end of the year, but the current Queen is priority first, so I take it that the 1/4 Marine will be after the 1/4 Xeno.

So NECA went the hot toys route. Tom Skerit signed off so they did him in the suit. Mr. Hurt I guess did not, so they go with the facehugger through the shield look. Good actually. Now I no longer feel ANY pressure to get the hot toys ones. These lil fellas will due nicely.
