The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I have some SST gear, but not a full set. Do you know where I can get pants and shirt cheap? Maybe a helmet, but I'm sure I can live without one if needed. If so, I may bring my gear down and join up with you guys.

Let me know.

There's a large group plotting on getting together with their gear. I'm taking mine across the Atlantic, assuming I can squeeze into it...

LA prop and wardrobe is the company that got it all, but i think they've farmed it out and sold most of what they had.....

Reel Clothes have a hell of a lot of the stuff, from SST, SST2 and Firefly. They'll also be getting the stuff from SST3.

Currently filming in South Africa with Neumeier directing and Casper van Dien as Colonel Rico. Should be interesting, at least - back to its roots, or at least in part.

Lennard at Reel Clothes is great to deal with. The prices are a bit on the high side, but they ARE screen used items.

He's not selling helms seperately from the rest of the armor right now.

Thanks. :)

Another site that is pretty much just SST related is:

http://www.whiskeyoutpost.net/forum/index.php

It's a pretty small forum, but it is theme specific.

Scifihero.net also has an SST section.

Is this the right gloves?

If thats not them, its a 99% match......

the boots were discontinued before the movie was made....they bought the factory stock when they made them for the movie.

Can't tell from the wrist, but they do look like the gloves Dom, but typically they cost about $50! Which is...

EXACTLY the same cost as the ones from Reel Clothes. If you can nab them cheaper, do so.

Here's from a posting I did a year ago...

Quote:

I did some spelunking about the 'ol interwebnet-o-tron, and found this, er, found item from Starship Troopers.

These are the exact model of gloves worn by the Mobile Infantry in the film. They are an American Football receiver/lineman's glove.

There still are screen used gloves available, and they cost appx. $50 plus shipping. I paid appx. $48 shipped for these on closeout. Typical pricing seems to run about $55 and up plus shipping.

They are Neumann Deluxe 75 gloves with wrist brace. Google should help you pull up some searches.

The only thing you need to do to make them 100% screen accurate is de-stitch the "N" emblem off the top of the hand. And perhaps smear them with bug guts, but I'll leave that up to you. :)
