The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Didn't see any other postings about this here, so I'll start one. Just found this, and hope it's not old news here:

http://www.forum.warzonegame.com/viewto ... f=33&t=812

There's a new thread on this other forum of the company responsible for resurrecting the miniatures game Warzone. I just got my first order from them last night, and the quality and detail is quite excellent. They've dropped hints on the next project, only in picture form, but... let's just say it's quite obvious what it is. If they follow their Warzone model, the miniatures will be multi-part resin, and probably quite fantastically and accurately detailed. Needless to say, as a long-time tabletop gamer, I'm ecstatic! FINALLY, decent, accurate (and hopefully multi-part) Aliens, Predators, and Marines, all in the same scale and done by the same manufacturer. And most importantly, if priced along the lines of their Warzone stuff, DECENTLY PRICED!
I don't think they've OFFICIALLY announced that they have the license, but from some of the discussion, this company will not touch any property unless they have the license to do so. The fact that they are teasing AvP miniatures design work would tend to imply (to me, anyway) that they've got it.
If this goes Kickstarter as the Warzone Resurrection project did... (sigh) I am soooooo going to be broke for sooooooo long...

Negative, this one is going to be a tabletop miniatures game of some type, versus the card game you linked. There has been no indication yet (that I've seen) as to what FORM of tabletop miniatures game this will be, be it a skirmish game ala 40K, boardgame like Space Hulk, or something else. All I know is that the sneak peaks of the work in progress minis makes me think I'm going to go broke as soon as it comes out... (sigh)

They are a somewhat softer plastic than the 40K stuff, assuming they use the same stuff that they are making the Warzone miniatures out of. It's able to hold tiny detail pretty well. Haven't painted any of my stuff yet, but it seems like it'll take it well.

Also TK-1085, looks like these are not prepaints, so you'd have to paint them.

Also, the shoulder lamp is both too high and not mounted even remotely correct. It's probably to make it easier to cast or something.

Ill just cut it off, re attach it, and sand off those rivets!

Shoulder lamp may be a separate piece, just glued on in the wrong spot. Backpacks and such for my Warzone guys were cast separate, so I'm guessing they'll do the same for this. If you check the renders and the painted examples on the Kickstarter site, the models appear to have the lights attached in a more proper location. Just went in for "Game Over Man, Game Over." Gawd I'm a sucker for this stuff...

Fair play mate! 100 heads of yourself, very cool. I did consider it, but wanted all the extras instead so went for the one below that.

Good to know about the Warzone miniatures; you're probably spot on with what you say about the lamps being separate for the CM's too

As mentioned in the UKCM forum, Beth and I went to their open day yesterday to see the models and play test the game. It all looks properly awesome, as you can see in the pictures! Prodos let everyone there take some models home so I am now the proud owner of a couple of marines and some eggs which is epic. They were really great guys, and it was nice meeting them.

Highly recommend getting on-board with the Kickstarter if anyone hasn't already, you won't be disappointed with the result.

Ahhhh... you got to keep the one female Marine. How's she look close up? Can you tell she's a girl? Looks as though she's just a tad slighter?
