While I think that would be cool..... Technically, you really can't show a movie like that. You would need permission from Fox to show it (and you'd have to pay for it). Obviously, you can just pop it in and play it, but the con may not like that.

Maybe a mixed DVD of some clips from the movie, clips of some of the fan films, clips of Marines at drops, the colony sweeps, etc.? Put that on a loop and we should be good to go!

A few years ago I made a video file of ALL of the USCM moments with the 'adult language' dubbed.
Started from the Sulaco coming in to Hicks getting a shower in the elevator.

But at a con like D*Con...I would not show the entire movie.
Maybe the trailer, clips and then some fan stuff.

If it's a Laptop we'll be using, it should be fine. ADC also does not recall region encoding the DVDs.

Our fan table has been confirmed by D*Con but placement is indeed first come first served.

As usual I'll be down in the bowels of the Hyatt searching for 'the clipboard lady' to get our table Thursday evening with plans to get one backed against the wall with a power outlet.

If all goes correctly we'll be in the same area as last year.
