The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Caved in and picked up Hudson today - will probably end up picking up the other two at some point.

Well he would be lonely I suppose!

I picked up a xeno warrior at my local TRU. They had several..but no Hudson or Hicks. I ended up getting them on-line.

I heard THAT

Told them that last night.

Their reply: "We don't have the rights to do Vasquez."

There's that "rights" thing again. I'd be willing to bet that if they just asked Ms. Goldstein, she might be open to the idea.
And it's not like she's that hard to find.

Oh yeah, I wanted to ask those that follow NECA on twitter and such. I don't suppose they have thought about an 18" Colonial Marine to go with their other 18" figures?

It wouldn't even have to have a Hicks or Hudson likeness, I'd take whatever I could get, my 18" Alien, Predator and Terminator demand it!

Someone over as SSF had asked via twitter and he was told a new 18" alien was in the works, and that an 18" marine "has been considered". So it looks like the idea isnt out of the question, but it also wont be any time soon.

that makes me excited for the possibility of helmets for Hicks and Hudson, a hack tool pack, VP-70 and much more for marines!

Picked up Hicks last week at a TRU, no Hudson or Xeno but have a local shop that ordered a couple cases so I can pick them up as soon as I get enough time off to stop in.

damned interesting. McFarlane Hicks helmet? I have no guesses on the sleeves. I almost said repainted extraction dutch, but those arms are way too thin. The marine to his right is also a custom. Regular rolled sleeve but no bandage. The Hicks to his left is rocking a racal. That dude is putting in his work!

May have to head over there for more details..,

That's a Luger holster on Apone, right? Nice idea for a simple replacement. I'm loving how this looks!

I'm struggling to see why these figures are so expensive. I felt the same with the Hot Toys figures. :(

"flamthrower marine" would be my guess. Wasn't that how they termed it? Hopefully it's just a placeholder head, but I seem to remember them saying under "coming figures" "flamethrower marine", without a movie character name...

I am saddened by the fact it appears all rumors were true. No "real" character and worst of all NO HELMET!!!! :x

This insistance on ALL marines being helmetless vexes me terribly. I want multiples to customize and the only way I can do that is with $35 two-pack marines. Coolness of flame unit and long sleeves is negated by another naked head. Not even a racal?! Again: me = terribly vexed

EDIT: Just read the new marine is the brother of a Neca sculptor battling stage 4 stomach cancer. Its a tribute piece. On one hand I'm still rather disappointed, but will not criticize it again. Its a nice gesture to one of their own.
