The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Alright guys. I'm going to try it my hand at it, but I'll ask right off. Would you prefer I do them in the comic book style like the imperial ones or in the cell shaded style like the second set?

Tough call. Both look good. The "comic" style has more detail.

Why don't all you budding artists have a go at it and we'll vote on a winner?

It became some sort of contest? Why do we have to settle for just one promotional pin-up? ;)

Well, I plan on doing a 3 part "comic" style series first. A smart-gun, flamer, and pulse rifle girl. And if that goes overwell, I'll give y'all a cell shaded series as well. ;)

I was thinking Smart Gun, Pulse Rifle and Dropship Pilot. :)
But flamer would work too. Lots of bad "getting Hot" puns come to mind.

I was speaking to my wonderful friend Suzie tonight......and she mentioned her and another friend are working on something like this for the USCM.
Neither of them are really USCM orientated so I was stunned

Not sure on the extent of the project but, well here she is....
Image

I gave her the forum url so she may sign up and post her thoughts etc. But real life as well as artwork....something else to think about.

But I'm all for the artwork - its a great idea. I'd definately be interested in seeing everyones submissions.

I agree, let's not make this a contest, that can put a lot of people off the whole idea.

Let's just leave it open to anyone interested.

Blaichenti, which ever style you like the most, go for it, beggers can't be choosers. 8)

Bisley-style for me.
B&W, no time to try painting. No promises, check this space occasionally if you're doing nothing else.

GREETINGS! I'm new to the site, and I was the person CPL Tony mentioned earlier!

I am now obsessed with making movie accurate costumes (shut up Freud) and dressing up at events!

After meeting CPLTony and seeing his table with a vast display of props and gear, I began to think about how I could incorpoarte stuff like that into my Alternative modeling~

VIOLA! USCM PinUp!

I hope to have the project finished soon, but thanks to all those who got me hooked on the series again! You have "made" me waste many hours rewatching the movies...

GAME OVER MAN!

I think Badwidamaan's pics have been used for the Wotc Axis & Allies collectible minis game. Good stuff!

As a suggestion besides the other concept pics... how about a "Ripley" (only, you know, younger and hotter) type gal with a jumpsuit, jacket and big ole taped together weapon?

Well this is just a sketch for an idea to suit the call for a "Dolly Marine".

I didn` go for the all out Girlie type look though. Yes she`s got the curves etc but I think the position shows the Grunt attitude still whilst she`s shaving her "sharp pointed stick".

Anyway as said this is just a quick sketch,so what do you think?

Image

So you think she`s worth turning into a painting? Afraid it`ll be a water colour though. Wish I could do puter graphics but alas old school only..lol

Oh here`s something I did before in watercolours.....

Oh I do have a few ideas for other poses too, just this was the first one that formed on paper.

Though I think we`re going to end up with some Very interesting Hotties very soon from board grunts,to make a Colonial Marine Calender or at least give a large selection of Hotties to pick from :D
