The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hello!

There appears to have been some miscommunication over the number of wristbands being allocated to costuming groups at LFCC, so I wish to clarify our rules.

- As a costuming group you are allocated FREE tables. These tables are worth £140 each.
- As a costuming group you are allocated 10 FREE wristbands that give you access to the show. (Worth a total of £300)

As as individual that chooses to come to the show in costume, no such discount is offered. We have never allowed people into the show for free simply because they are wearing a costume. That being said, the larger costume groups often collect for charity, which we are more than happy to support and they also add an element to the show that is appealing visually. For this we are grateful.

As such, we feel, that along with the free tables, that £300 worth of free entry is more than fair.

If you have more than 10 people wishing to attend for the weekend then they will need to purchase a wristband. This wristbands are discounted to £12 for the entire weekend and can be picked up from the organisers booth.

I hope this clarifies a few things for you all.

Thanks
Gemma

Cal - if i'm reading that right, does that mean beth and I could get a wristband for £12 as UKCM members and not have to queue?? Cause that would be SWEET. I have two mates that'd buy my tickets I already have

Could we sort this out on Friday/Saturday?

Others (inclduing myself) would like to have a wristband if this means quicker/earlier entry.

If it takes 12 GBP to get that wristband also fine with me.

As an addition, this was posted on the facebook page of another costume group:

Wristbands:
All exhibitors will be expected to wear wristbands at all times once the show opens.
- Wristbands can be collected from the organisers booth from 9am on Friday morning.
- There will be a maximum of 10 wristbands per table. If you require more wristbands they can be purchased for £12 each from the Organisers Booth.
- Each member of the party will need to be present to collect their wristband. This will be attached by a member of our crew and must be worn for the duration of the show. You cannot collect wristbands for other people.
- If a member of your party is not present on Friday they will need to collect their wristbands on the morning they arrive. This must be done before 8.30am Saturday and Sunday, free wristbands will not be available after this time and a day ticket will need to be purchased in order to gain entry.
- THE PERKS! Wristbands will allow you free entry into the show as well as the ability to join any queue at any time without a virtual queue ticket. This means that if you want to enjoy any of the show outside the exhibitors hall, that you will be able to do so quickly and efficiently. But this can only be enjoyed if your wristband is undamaged and attached to your wrist. Our crew will be checking ALL wristbands before entry to queues will be granted.

Never knew about the last bit - makes getting an autograph much easier for the really big guests!

So those who want a free or 12 GBP WRISTBAND should be present at the organisers office at 8:30am on the Saturday, right?
Or do we (also) meet there on Friday?

That's correct - you will need to be in the organisers office with cash before 8:30am on Saturday or Sunday though.

As for Friday, I'm hoping nocternus will be able to be at the venue by 5pm to secure our table and confirm the deal with wristbands before the show opens at 6pm on the Friday.

Now that's an interesting thought...get a mate to buy the tickets I have and jump all over that £12 wristband offer.
Presumably that is £12 for the weekend? Otherwise it's not such a good offer :P

I'll see you guys at 0830 on Saturday morning at the organisers office then. I have early bird tickets but I'd rather pay the £12 and avoid the que's and hassle. Plus it means I can get on the table quicker and help set up
