The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

A long, long time ago, Harry and I talked about this piece, and he helped me out with working on some molds for it, but I honestly never thought anyone would be interested in it.

Then a couple of weeks ago, Brian called me and asked if I could make one, and how much would it cost? I realized that I had a mold that was 90% finished, and in my spare time I finished it, vacc'd a copy, and popped this out:

For those that don't recognize it, it's a Colonial Marine Throat Guard. They were made for the film, but never used on screen.

I did make an attachment for it that would hook it to the strap that connects the chest and back armor together so you can unclip the throat guard and let it hang on your chest and look cool.

So, big thanks to Harry and to Brian for helping make this a reality!

I still have to figure out pricing and whatnot with it, so for now they are not for sale. I'm looking at charging $20 for them, plus shipping.

Let me know what you guys think. I'm still not sure that anyone would even want one, but here they are!

Ya man Brain called me at work talking about this. They look nice, I saw some of the original ones and thought they looked cool on top of the armor. If you do end up selling some in the future, sign me up for geting one. :D

Well, as of now they'll be $20 each. So figure that in on the order. I'll add it to the store later this week since it looks like there is enough interest to make them worthwhile.

As for trying one on, my armor is way too old to make it look good, but I have a couple of sets being built right now that I can use to model it. As soon as they are finished (tomorrow or Friday) I'll snap some pics and see what we have.

It's possible. I track armor orders by the name that PayPal tells me paid for the armor. So screen names, e-mail addresses, and nicknames honestly don't help when it comes to figuring out which suit is which.

Sorry!

In that case, it just might be! So this is my way of telling you that your armor is shipping out this week.

How's that sound?

:)

Well, I made 2 guards to start with, one was for Brian for actually asking me to make it in the first place and reminding me that I had the molds, and the other is up for grabs if you want it.

I guess I'll be making a few of these with each batch of Marine Armor I make.

Just making sure. As I was boxing up both your gear I noticed the addresses are practically next door to each other!

And I'm heading out to the Post Office now to ship it all out.

I looked on the map, and the whole island of England is pretty small. Smaller than my fist, actually. So you must be pretty close.

And both of your sets of armor are on their way to you. You should have it by the end of next week, or early the week after.

Enjoy!
