With the marines finally done, I wrapped up the Bishop.

For bishop I feel like I cheated a bit. I bought a resin head online that was supposed to be him (as opposed to scouring the web for a 'found' head). Sideshow made a Frank Black figure from tehir X-Files line, but to be honest I think this one actually looked more like Bishop than the Frank Black head.

Anyways, some heavy modifying of a blue flight suit and bingo...







The shoes are kind of funny to me.



The main thing other people have done when making custom 'Bishops' is cut the boots down from a Hot Toys Ripley figure. I had no interest in shelling out the cash for that so I scratch-built some shoes!

I chopped up my cheapest, crappiest pare of boots laying around


Then painted!


If some "Ripley boots" fall in my lap later, I'll go for them. Until then, Bishop will have to stand around being sensible in these monstrosities!

The shoes work just fine! If you really hated them you could always rip him in half. No shoes then!

Having owned both headsculpts I have to STRONGLY disagree with you about the likeness, but obviously it's your figure!

Reaper, Im pretty sure I saw pics of your figures floating around online and they were awesome. The ripped in half one was you right?

My opinion on the heads was no doubt influenced by cost. The Frank Blacks were relatively expensive and I felt too simplified considering the money they were commanding. I wouldnt be surprised if more people liked it over this one head to head (no pun intended) and I admit this one is pretty 'cartoony' and could use a good repaint. In fact, I may try to repaint it myself here soon...

Yeh that was mine (probably saw it on OSW) it's 577_Ops' now (if I remember who I sold him too correctly!)

Yeh Frank Black cost me £40 (about $80), wasn't really worth it but I really dislike the sculpt you've used (no offence intended in anyway). The civvie clothes came in useful in the end anyway.

It's a great figure you've made there, and you can definetly tell who it's meant to be so it's all groovy
